It's an opportunity lost.

We could have had a fully functioning South Region Cup instead .. or do the clubs think they will be entering the Junior Cup AND the South Cup.

My understanding is that West of Scotland League clubs will all be in the South Challenge Cup. The Junior Cup will be scheduled for the Alex Jack Cup and Scottish Cup dates.

Presumably that means any Junior clubs competing in the Sottish Cup will not take part in that season's Scottish Junior Cup.

Looks like Kilbirnie Ladeside have nailed their colours to the West of Scotland League mast according to a newspaper interview.
Troon are also on-board.
That's 35 clubs. Ten from the top division and eleven from the next layer down.

So today so far five Premiership clubs:
Auchinleck Talbot
Largs Thistle
Kilbirnie Ladeside
Irvine Meadow XI
Beith Juniors

All significant clubs in the west. This brings it up to 12 out of 16 Premiership clubs known to be on-board for the new West of Scotland League. 37 clubs reported so far with 36 of these being from the current 63 Junior clubs.

Troon released an excellent statement, available on their website:

An excellent statement with a couple of 'inaccuracies'.

The Troon pyramid shows the 'East of Scotland' with 13 clubs and 24 games

And... '
For instance: if we have 4 equal conferences next season, then the top 4 clubs will be promoted to form a 16-team Premier League for season 2021/22
Promoted from tier 6 to er..... tier 6!

I think we can forgive them a couple of small errors. Their FAQ section is very well written.

Muirkirk Juniors were added to the list this morning. 40 now. Enough for three conferences.

Anyone got a fully collated list of confirmed applicants? Harry says the list is up to forty so I am 3 short.

That's really useful. About 70% of west Junior clubs now moving to the new league.
(except swapping Kilbirnie for Hurlford as far as shown on P&B.)

With that many applications, will the SJFA West Region exist next season?

NEITHER Hurlford NOR Kilbirnie have issued any formal club statement saying they've applied.
The P&B poster is presuming Kilbirnie will have applied because of their association with Gordon Ronney.
