The death has been announced of former Fulham favourite and England Youth International, Tosh Chamberlain, at age 86.

He joined Fulham in 1954 and was a boyhood friend of Johnny Haynes who he encouraged to join him there. He played as a left winger and scored over 60 goals for them. His last game for Fulham was in 1965.

Tosh was a great bloke, and continued to watch Fulham home games from the terraces for many years after his retirement. RIP Trevor.

Those were the days, from Wikipedia

Next season(1955), he even postponed his wedding day in order to play against Newcastle United in pouring rain in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Chamberlain scored a hat trick, but Fulham lost 5–4.

Yes, he was a great character and a nice guy. Very well liked at Fulham and will be sadly missed. RIP
