A couple of days ago the decisions was made to end the Women's Super League and Women's Championship

From The BBC Article -

The Women's Super League and Women's Championship seasons have been ended immediately, with the outcome of the WSL title and promotion and relegation issues still to be decided.

The joint WSL and Women's Championship board has sent various recommendations to the Football Association board to "determine the most appropriate sporting outcome for the season".

An FA statement said the decision came after "overwhelming feedback from clubs" and was made "in the best interest of the women's game".

It continued: "This will also enable clubs, the Women's Super League and Women's Championship board and the FA to plan, prepare and focus on next season when football returns for the 2020-21 campaign."

Just broken on Sky Sports News, Chelsea have been declared WSL Champions on PPG, Liverpool relegated and Aston Villa promoted.

No promotion/relegation in tiers 3 to 7 because the results from those divisions have been expunged

Sunderland get shafted yet again. No surprise there then!

No chance of Sunderland being invited to fill the vacant spot in the 11 team Championship then.

Doncaster Rovers Belles are another team that the FA and WSL like to pick on.

Depends what you mean by resuming. When women's football does come back they won't be resuming the old season it will be the start of a new one. I believe the WSL is aiming to start next season the first weekend of September.

If all teams survive into next season, the aim is to have everyone in the same leagues as in 2019-20, except that Liverpool and Aston Villa swap places and some new clubs join at county league level. Whether that's realistic is another question - some teams lower down the pyramid may actually want to be relegated rather than face a season out of their depth, some of the professional clubs may find their parent organisations struggle to maintain funding and some of the independent clubs may just evaporate.
