There are trains back to Cardiff Central from Newport at 21:34, 21:56, 2207. Depending on what time you are leaving Cardiff, return tickets are available at £9.80 for off peak travel.Tuesday 27th Merthyr Town v Bristol Manor. 7.30.
Am staying in Cardiff and according to Google the last midweek train back to Cardiff is 22.38. The latest I can seem to book via the booking websites is 21.17. Is this correct as I don't really fancy leaving the game at 9 in order to make it back to the station and may seek an alternative?
That's what happens when not reading a post properly! Yep it seems it is 21:17 and a early departure from the game would be needed for the 12 min walk. Apologies. Thanks for the reply it is much appreciated. I am a little confused though. Are you suggesting I should head for Newport from Merthyr?
After reading gcnc's report on today's visit to Goytre Tuesday is now looking like a toss up between them and Afan Lido. Is Goytre easily walkable from Port Talbot Parkway? It's worse than that, the 21:17 is actually a replacement bus to Radyr.
In all it makes the journey into Cardiff getting on for 2 hours.
The last train from Merthyr is 19:06.
