Surprised at Paul Cook going to Ipswich considering he left Portsmouth for Wigan because he was homesick for the North West.

Championship side Sheffield Wednesday have appointed Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Moore as their new manager.
I think he's just discovered what a tough job he's taken on. 😱

Unbelievable headless chicken play by Wednesday at the death tonight against 10 man Rotherham. I hope he can turn it round but it must be odds on now that they'll take him back into League One.

And maybe watch Donny pass them going in the other direction. 😯

Looks like the Millers celebrated their 97th minute winner too much Jon, game off tomorrow due to Covid in the Rotherham side.

From the BBC.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is set to leave the role after almost five years in charge.

Apparently, this is not true. (From the BBC)
Wilder was due to face the media at 13:30 to preview the game at Leicester on Sunday. That press conference will now be held at 17:00.

The wording has been changed from 'manager's press conference' to just 'press conference'

He wanted more money from the owner to sign players for next season. Arab won't give it him. Hardly surprising really given the money he's wasted this season and last on absolute shite.

Supposed to be Higginbottom, ex. Leeds and Barnsley taking over, very poor choice in my opinion.

Even if Sheffield United are relegated, at that seems inevitable, then Chris Wilder should be given a chance to turn things around in the Championship.

Retaining a relegated manager seems to have worked well for Burnley and it looks like it will for Norwich.

Wilder took what was basically a League One set of players into the Premier League. Last season they massively over performed, this season they lost the star players Henderson and O'Connell and injuries, loss of form and a lack of depth in the squad has hit home.

At long last, a statement from the club confirming Chris Wilder has departed Sheff Utd.
