Eccles-based North West League club Salford City Roosters are getting a £1m clubhouse, built next to their pitches. The existing clubhouse is a couple of hundred yards away. Salford Council is footing about two-thirds of the bill, Sport England most of the rest.

That's been in the offing for some time, think the recent announcement is because additional funding was required because the project was a tad over budget.

Will eat into the car park area at Hallsworth Road somewhat.

Friendly club though! 🙂

Hard on the heels of the launch of Tillicoultry-based Forth Valley Vikings, it has been announced the mothballed Aberdeen Warriors amateur club aim to return in 2022.

A Warriors statement reads: "Before we get back on the pitch we want to make the club as sustainable as possible and are looking for volunteers to help support the club as committee members, coaches and coordinators. We have missed rugby league in the North East and really want to make a success of it for juniors and adults alike."

With the support of Coventry City Council, League One Coventry Bears have secured funding to establish three satellite community clubs in the West Midlands. Target age range of players is eight to 14. The exact locations of the clubs, in the south and west of Coventry, and on the east side of Birmingham, will be announced soon.

North Wales Crusaders' reserve team has rebranded as Wrexham Crusaders ARLFC. It aims to offer playing opportunities for men, women, boys and girls.

A club statement reads: "This rebrand is essential to interact with the local community in the Wrexham area and provide accessible rugby league for everyone."

The Flintshire Falcons amateur club had earlier announced its intention to participate in the 2021 season.
