Eccles-based North West League club Salford City Roosters are getting a £1m clubhouse, built next to their pitches. The existing clubhouse is a couple of hundred yards away. Salford Council is footing about two-thirds of the bill, Sport England most of the rest.

That's been in the offing for some time, think the recent announcement is because additional funding was required because the project was a tad over budget.

Will eat into the car park area at Hallsworth Road somewhat.

Friendly club though! 🙂

Hard on the heels of the launch of Tillicoultry-based Forth Valley Vikings, it has been announced the mothballed Aberdeen Warriors amateur club aim to return in 2022.

A Warriors statement reads: "Before we get back on the pitch we want to make the club as sustainable as possible and are looking for volunteers to help support the club as committee members, coaches and coordinators. We have missed rugby league in the North East and really want to make a success of it for juniors and adults alike."

North Wales Crusaders' reserve team has rebranded as Wrexham Crusaders ARLFC. It aims to offer playing opportunities for men, women, boys and girls.

A club statement reads: "This rebrand is essential to interact with the local community in the Wrexham area and provide accessible rugby league for everyone."

The Flintshire Falcons amateur club had earlier announced its intention to participate in the 2021 season.

There has been minimal publicity for the the amateur game even though the season I underway

The RFL have advised all clubs not to publicise fixtures and tweets advise matches are behind closed doors even when this is not possible. It is hard to even find details of who is which league

Most clubs are following this fully but twitter gives snippets

Changes I have ascertained are that the Southern Conference will be as planned for 2020 with east and west divisions. It is unclear if All Golds where all Golds will be based but possibly the university complex at Stoke Gifford

The East has gained Canvey Island in the lower division.
In the West the clubs are the same but Swindon St George are at Nalgo and Bath have taken over the rec ground in Farmborough and are building facilities. Reading have moved from Berks County ground across the road to Reading RFC. There is also a second Worcestershire team in this area Worcester Jaguars at Droitwich RU

In the East Bedford have returned to Pinhoe Woods

The fixture list for the North East includes Friarage RL which is a second team in Hartlepool, playing on the pitch with much terracing next to the railway in the area of that name. If some one was to one ground this should be it. The fixtures I have seen suggest one time NCL club Peterlee may have folded.

In the heartlands there are a number of new teams and some who have previously only played winter. The return of Todmorden is one and there is merit league team out of Skipton Ru. Harrogate has a team with the moniker fire ants and only here could rl play out of a public school. Scarborough are also back playing is a Hull bases division and still at Hunmanby

I have attended two so far, Bolton RL who share with the rugby in a public park and Mirfield v Bramley yesterday
