Reigning Yorkshire League champions Bentley ARLFC (near Doncaster) host the first round draw on Thursday, December 5.

The draw will be streamed live on the BBC Sport website, red button and the BBC Sport connected TV app, as well as through RFL channels. The BBC is to cover every round. It will select one tie to be streamed live over the January 11-12 weekend, dates of the first round.

For the first time, the final, at Wembley Stadium, is being played in July, on July 18.

First round entrants

Ashton Bears, Barrow Island, Bedford Tigers, Bentley, British Army, Dewsbury Moor, Distington, East Hull, Edinburgh Eagles, Featherstone Lions, Great Britain Police, Hammersmith Hills Hoists, Hunslet Club Parkside, Ince Rose Bridge, Jarrow Vikings, Leigh Miners Rangers, Lock Lane, London Chargers, Longhorns, Milford, Normanton Knights, Oulton Raiders, Pilkingtons Recs, RAF, Rhondda Outlaws, Rochdale Mayfield, Royal Navy, Saddleworth Rangers, Siddal, Sherwood Wolf Hunt, Skirlaugh, Stanningley, Thatto Heath Crusaders, Thornhill Trojans, Torfaen Tigers, Underbank Rangers, Upton, West Bank Bears, West Bowling, West Hull, Wests Warriors, Wigan St Judes, Wigan St Patricks, York Acorn.

Following up last season's inaugural event, the 2020 final of the 1895 Cup (for tier two and three clubs) will be at Wembley, as part of a double-header with the Challenge Cup showpiece.

London Broncos (Championship) have confirmed they won't enter. It's rumoured League One pair North Wales Crusaders and Workington Town aren't bothering either.

It seems like the Broncos didn't fancy a possible trip to Wembley along with the local support that could bring with possible future regular supporters.

This competition lost all credibility the moment clubs were permitted to opt out. Broncos might baulk at a midweek trip to the game's heartlands but, given they're full time, it doesn't seem much of an imposition. Part-time London Skolars backheeled the 2019 1895 Cup because they couldn't afford to lose money playing in it. At least they were honest!
