Football Combination (East Division) 2007/08 Can't Post or Reply Privately

Can anyone help with a final league table of the Football Combination (East Division) 2007/08 ?

It was officially known as the Pontins Holiday Football Combination (East).

It contained such clubs as:
Ipswich (winners),Norwich,Southend,Luton,Peterborough,Colchester.

I've searched the internet but to no avail.

That's brilliant.
Thanks a lot.

I've taken the liberty of adding in that Colchester - Peterborough result.

And with the date you gave,I've found the result of Ipswich v Luton, although the match report says it was played at Luton.
Luton 3-4 Ipswich

Which creates this:

......................... P.. W. D L F A Pts
Ipswich............ 18 16 1 1 67 18 49
Norwich......... 17 8 5 4 43 26 29
Southend United...... 17 9 2 6 44 32 29
Colchester United..... 18 5 10 3 31 28 25
Peterborough United. 18 6 5 7 30 34 23
Luton Town........... 18 6 3 9 33 44 21
Northampton Town... 18 5 4 9 27 40 19
Milton Keynes Dons.. 16 5 2 9 26 38 17
Stevenage Boorugh.. 18 3 6 9 17 37 15
Grays Athletic.......... 16 3 4 9 23 44 13

Remaining games:
30/04 Grays v Southend
01/05 Norwich v MK Dons
TBA MK Dons v Grays

The wayback machine gives the rest

The Grays website at 9 May 2008 shows both 30/04 v Southend & 28/04 v MK Dons as cancelled and MK Dons has a report dated Sat 03/05 for losing 3-1 at Norwich on Thursday

I have a final table which shows a points adjustment for MK -

EAST DIVISION
1 IPSWICH TOWN RESERVES 18 16 1 1 67 18 49
2 NORWICH CITY RESERVES 18 9 5 4 46 27 32
3 SOUTHEND UNITED RESERVES 18 9 3 6 44 32 30
4 COLCHESTER UNITED RESERVES 18 5 10 3 31 28 25
5 PETERBOROUGH UNITED RESERVES 18 6 5 7 30 34 23
6 LUTON TOWN RESERVES 18 6 3 9 33 44 21
7 MILTON KEYNES DONS RESERVES 18 6 2 10 28 41 19*
8 NORTHAMPTON TOWN RESERVES 18 5 4 9 27 40 19
9 STEVENAGE BOROUGH RESERVES 18 3 6 9 17 37 15
10 GRAYS ATHLETIC RESERVES 18 3 5 10 23 45 14

This table came several years ago from a FL site that listed Football Comb tables, as well as U23 and U18 tables.

That's interesting.

So the MK Dons were deducted 1pt.

The table implies that all the matches were actually played.

Fascinating.
Thanks a lot.

Grays Ath v Southend wasn't played. So a 0-0 was awarded.
If awarded is the right word!?!
Think to same score was given to MK Dons v Grays as well

I was beginning to wonder if it was something like that !
Thanks.

The only problem is,from the difference in the above tables, the last game:
MK Dons v Grays Ath would have had to be awarded as 1-0 (not 0-0 as might be expected).

I suppose anything is possible !

It adds up

28/04
Milton Keynes Dons.. 16 5 2 9 26 38 17
Stevenage Boorugh.. 18 3 6 9 17 37 15
Grays Athletic.......... 16 3 4 9 23 44 13

So MK Dons are 17 from 16 before the 3-1 Norwich loss which makes 17 from 17 and F27 A41. They are then awarded a 1-0 over Grays so 20 from 18 F28 A41 before being deducted 1 point as per the final table.

Re: [krffji] Football Combination (East Division) 2007/08 [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

Sorry,I didnt explain what I meant very well.
What I was trying to say was:

Is it likely that the game was awarded as 1-0 or more likely that it was actually played ?
(Bearing in mind that the other game was awarded as 0-0)

It doesn't really matter though,as far as the final table is concerned.

Thanks for everybody's help.
