This year is looking to be the most intriguing since since it took in clubs furth of Scotland.
Tie of the round I'd say has to be Partick Thistle v Connah's Quay Nomads. After making last year's final, to say nothing of knocking Kilmarnock out of Europe at Rugby Park, CQN have got to fancy their chances. Especially with Partick bottom of league. Best side else left surely are Inverness, though home to Alloa ought for them to be a doddle. Mind you, with some of the other results so far, who knows?
And of the rest surely Solihull v Rangers Colts is the most surreal. And Wrexham v St Mirren Colts should be a doddle for Wrexham too. But?
And a flight of fancy: what it Wrexham are drawn against CQN in a later round (or even the final?!) ? All sorts of mental hares here.......

Solihull Moors 3-3 Rangers Colts with Rangers coming out on top 3-4 on penalties. Decent gate of 1598 which included 436 visiting fans and Rangers now play Wrexham at home. Where at home is the burning question as the club want to hold the tie at Ibrox but seeing as it once again is pencilled in for the international weekend it will probably be moved and with that goes the chance of Ibrox. Training centre not big enough to hold a crowd of any numbers so Airdrie or Partick are the early names being mentioned to stage the tie.

Can understand the frustration of Wrexham fans as a good few may want to be booking rail travel and accommodation but Ballymena as well as Solihull were moved because of the international break weekend which were the original dates and the Wrexham game will go the same way..

Think they just want to know where they stand, regardless of what date is chosen. It's fair to say the club and its fans have, at best, been lukewarm to this competition and things like this don't help. If it's not at Ibrox I think it'll only be the diehards who'll travel up.
