Linfield FC Can't Post or Reply Privately

I am trying to find out what the attendance was for the Europa League 2nd Qualifying Round, 2nd Leg match was between Linfield and HB Torshavn (played on 1st August 2019). A lot of Internet sites were saying the game was played without spectators - but I understand that was not the case. Can anyone help with the attendance?

Can't see an attendance figure in my usual Internet sources but the match was definitely played in front of paying spectators.

I can't understand how a rumour that the game was played behind closed doors can gain credence. All one has to do is to look at the Linfield website which says that tickets were on sale on the day.

I didn't make this one but would be very surprised indeed if it was less than 2,500. I know plenty of people back home who went. Work meant that I couldn't get over and back in time.

Crowd was not declared, so "n/a", so some results services (stupidly) did write that as "the match was played without spectators".
On Linfield's facebook page, a club post made the next day shows plenty of photos of the crowd. In the comments, somebody (perhaps the OP of this thread?!) asked "Wat (sic) was the attendance last night?". He got two replies. One said "I reckon there was 3,000 to 3,500". The other said "I thought there was easy 3000".
Perhaps BelfastBlue can ask somebody back home who's been to a subsequent game (or perhaps he has himself) to open a prog from one of those and read what the club lists the attendance as, in the table of results page.

Linfield don't list attendances in the programme for some bizarre reason.

Perhaps they can't do larger count-ups because they are always stuck at 1690 ? Wink

I'll let you off this time.
