I'm off to Sofia for a few days in September and wanted to take in CSKA Sofia v Septemvri in the Vtora profesionalna liga It's on Monday 23rd September, details here https://en.bulgarian-football.com/machovete-dnes.html?date=2019-09-23 Anyone have experience of buying tickets, what with it being a local derby? Looking at attendances and ground capacity, capacity shouldn't be an issue, but I just wondered if there's any paperwork involved. Thanks

Local derby, that will have them flocking in. Neither team has any support. There was a ticket booth open for the big local derby in Round 1 v Lokomotive. Opening game, local derby it had them there in droves. 220 attendance at a 44,000 capacity stadium for the 2nd tier fixture. Enjoy.
 July 1, 2019 to June 30,2020 = 127 / 107 / 20 / 5 x 0-0's. (You know my rules) @ 07 / 12 / 2019 . Belgium top 5 tiers 0-0-0-(0-1-0)-(0-1-1-2) / Holland top 4 tiers - 0-0-0-(0-0) / Lux top 2 tiers 0 -2. England top 10 tiers - 0. Now blogging at https://eccentricity.video.blog/

The CSKA in the top flight rarely get 2,000 at home games. Even big derby v Levski only got 14,000. Gates are pitiful in Bulgaria.

As others have said you will have no problem getting a ticket for this game, just always advisable to have your passport with you just in case they ask for ID. One word of caution is to avoid the end to the left of the main stand, particularly if you plan to take photos. CSKA have some seriously hardcore ultras who gather at that end.

A bit late, Peter - the crowd for this game was ~120 (Bulgarian-football.com). It was not CSKA, but CSKA 1948!
