Brian Ahier

born 3rd August 1934
died Thursday 1st August 2019, aged 84

St. Luke's Primary School, Victoria College

St. Paul's (Jersey Football League, midweek)
(player, committee member, treasurer, vice president)

Old Victorians, Georgetown, Springfield, St. Peter (all in the Jersey Saturday League)

Referee

Coached St. Helier Parish U15 in Junior League

Established Whitsun & August Bank Holiday "Fun Weeks" for junior football coaching with a 100-200 juniors attending each one over 26 years with Brian doing all the secretarial and financial administration himself. This developed in to the current Centre of Excellence now run by the Jersey F.A.

Jersey F.A. Secretary, Vice President, President
Chairman of both the Disciplinary Committee and Grounds Committee and assisted with the renovation of the I.J. Bathe ground which is owned by Jersey F.A.

Also served on the Inter-Insular (Muratti) Committee and assisted with Jersey F.A. trips to England.

Life member of St. Peter for the past 25 years, club auditor for 10 years. Travelled on all their Jeremie (Guernsey), Devon Cup and Hampshire Cup trips.

Brian also served on the Jersey Disabled Sport and Sports Council Committees as well as being Deputy Manager for the Jersey Island Games team.

He also played cricket, tennis and bowls.
