Saturday football - unusual kickoff times Can't Post or Reply Privately

In addition to the useful Friday and Sunday threads, I wondered whether there might be interest in one for Saturday kickoff times unusual to the league in question, either because they facilitate a double or are more convenient for a visit for whatever reason.

Starter for ten:
Welsh Tier 2 South
Sat 7th September
Caerau Ely v Llanelli, 12pm KO

Last Ground (215): Cardiff International Sports Stadium (Barry Town United v Cliftonville)

Good idea. Thanks to live TV coverage the National League has a load of Saturday evening games coming up. Most are at 5.20pm which makes doubles difficult (though the Welsh leagues kick off at 2.30, offering chances to double up with a 5.20 at Wrexham), but there's also a 7.30 in the schedule.

Full list of games on BT announced so far are:

3/8: Stockport County vs Maidenhead United (12:30pm)
10/8: Notts County vs Barnet (5:20pm)
17/8: Barrow vs Yeovil Town (5:20pm)
24/8: Torquay United vs Aldershot Town (5:20pm)
26/8: Solihull Moors vs Eastleigh (7:45pm)
31/8: Chorley vs Boreham Wood (5:20pm)
4/9: Dagenham & Redbridge vs Bromley (7:45pm)
7/9: Hartlepool United vs Woking (7:30pm)
14/9: Wrexham vs Sutton United (5:20pm)
21/9: AFC Fylde vs Eastleigh (5:20pm)
28/9: Dover Athletic vs FC Halifax Town (5:20pm)
5/10: Harrogate Town vs Ebbsfleet United (5:20pm)
9/10: Stockport County vs Hartlepool United (7:45pm)
12/10: Wrexham vs Chesterfield (5:20pm)

Saturday 20th July
North East Scotland League Division 2
Elizabethan Link Up v Glenugie United (7pm)

Home ground James Ramsay Park off A90 heading into Fraserburgh. Elgin City v Stirling Albion in Betfred League Cup at 3pm looks the best bet for a double with this.

Is that correct? Saturday games are usually at 2pm but they have a lot of Friday evening games. Maybe the day has changed but the kick off time hasnít been updated? Worth checking if anyone is planning to go.

Anglian Combination

Saturday 17-08-19

Dussindale Rovers v Hellesdon Reserves (1-30)
Thorpe Village v AFC Lynn Napier (4)

Saturday 24-08-19

Thorpe Village v Easton Reserves (1-30)
Dussinndale Rovers v Downham Town Reserves (4)

Both are the easiest doubles you could do too. But no good for doubling with anything else though. Unless you can get a ticket for Norwich City v Chelsea (12-30) on 24th.

Watford FC supporter hence the name also follow Hull FC but rarely get to see either these days.

Have now visited over 800 grounds, progress in recent years has been rather slow and will continue to be as things stand.

Not saying it won't change nearer the date but currently showing on the league website as a 7pm kick off on Saturday 20th. Can also be doubled with Mintlaw at 2pm.

That ten minutes between 17:20 and 17:30 is a bit of a pain.

Now the EMCL and FA Cup fixtures are out, I've just been looking into whether the Notts Co game can be doubled by car with Dunkirk or Clifton and it seems to depend on traffic and parking.

Anyone with knowledge of Nottingham advise where it sits on the scale between "tight but doable" and "forget about it"?

I'm inclined to say Dunkirk will be tight but certainly do-able, though I'd best defer to the local up to date knowledge of other posters on here, especially in case of any roadworks.

My main point, though, is if you're on such a tight schedule perhaps take the stress out of finding a parking space at the last minute and, instead, rent a parking space near the ground: https://www.yourparkingspace.co.uk/meadow-lane-parking. Maybe rent it from, say, 2pm - check in then, then drive to your afternoon game, then drive back after the game and just park up in your space then head off to the ground.

EDIT West Bridgford should also be 'tight but do-able' if they're at home in the afternoon.

Looks like West Bridgford are away. The parking space site looks like a good idea, thanks Paul. I'd never thought to use it before.

You should be able to get from Dunkirk to Notts County in 20 Minutes. If you park on Victoria Embankment its a 10 minutes drive (at most) from Dunkirk then a 10 minute walk to County. Loads of parking on the Embankment, its normally used for parking for Forest games and a £5.00 charge is made but they dont normally bother for County and you should be able to park for free.
