FC Sez have joined and are CML Division 1 South. They are showing on the clubs page and in the table.

Does anyone know at the end of the coming season when the Step 7 Leagues pass into the County FA's control,

a) which County FA will the CML come under ?

b) will Clubs have to play in their own County or will they be allowed to cross County borders ?

Good questions, no idea of the answers mind but nonetheless

FC Sez now listed on division 1 south , but Selston reserves seem to be listed on both the north and south divisions

Logically should be Derbyshire considering all the neighbouring counties already have county leagues. Will the CML even survive if Derbyshire want to create their own county league. Clubs outside Derbys should maybe already start thinking of joining their own county leagues or risk losing their step7 place. ???

Would they force clubs on the borders to join their own county league?

Ashbourne are in the Staffs County League, Whaley Bridge Athletic are in the Cheshire League, AFC Dronfield are in the South Yorkshire based Sheffield & Hallamshire County League and Sandiacre Town are in the Nottinghamshire Senior League.

Agree but it depends how the various county fas want to organise their own pyramids which understand is the aim of the fa. My point was more if the Derbys FA decides to form their own county league which becomes their official step7 league attracting all their CML clubs the rest of the CMl clubs may end up in a non step7 league with no available place within their own county step7 league. We have no idea how all this is going to pan out.

None of those extremities are actually that far apart. The CML does not just cover Derbyshire so they probably choose the most suitable league as it stands today.

Ashbourne to Dronfield is just as straight forward as getting to Market Drayton or Cannock for instance.

I suspect county FA's will simply nominate an existing league and in general not try to enforce boundaries so Central Midlands would become the Derbyshire nominated league for the county even with many of the members coming from elsewhere. Whether both divisions or only one is sanctioned is a different question, however as some counties currently have two leagues covering different areas at Step 7 (e.g. North Riding has North Riding County and York and District) probably could continue with 2 as FA have already facilitated a dual division model at Step 7 in both Cornwall and Devon this year. Also can't see clubs like Beccles and Bungay who currently play in the Anglian Combination (Norfolk) wanting to move to Suffolk and Ipswich League as latter is focussed on south-east of Suffolk so would be greatly increase their travel. As such will be plenty of other areas where such a re-organisation would be resisted. Of course if the Notts Senior League, Sheffield and Hallamshire League and Central Midlands League plus the 3 FAs in question all agree a re-organisation to tidy up the area would be a different matter, but highly unlikely.

Could be something to do with this from 2017. Jamie Brough was the last owner of Eastwood Town (I think)

24 teams in the Division 1s and they've gone with an 11/13 split instead of 12/12? Crazy Bonkers!

Sports Gateway are in the 'south' division which sounds like it makes sense but their nearest neighbours are in the 'north'. The south division includes clubs in the north of Derbyshire.

Boynton Sports have at least one midweek game scheduled under lights at Thorncliffe St George's. I presume this will be the 4g and not the pitch that High Green Villa use.

Looks like I might need that code again!
