The format of the Spanish Cup has been changed for 2019-20.

There will be 126 entries and ties will be single matches rather than two-legged affairs. No reserve teams may enter.

Entries (based on 2018-19)

42 teams from Primera and Segunda (Reus are banned and there is no indication of how they will be replaced)
28 teams from Segunda B (top 7 from each section)
32 teams from Tercera (18 top clubs and 14 best runners-up)
20 teams from Regional Preferente (the 20 champions)
4 semi-finalists from Copa RFEF. (not sure what happens if a team has qualified through its league position

The four teams involved in the Supercopa de Espana are exempt to Round 3.

Preliminary Round - 10 matches - 20 Regional champions - regionalised draw

Round 1 56 matches - 10 Preliminary Round winners plus all other teams apart from from the 4 in the Supercopa.
Regionalised draw: Primera and Segunda Division clubs will be drawn against the rest.

Round 2 28 matches. The lower ranked team plays at home

Round 3 16 matches. 28 qualifiers plus 4 Supercopa teams. Lower ranked team plays at home.
