So, to which leagues have relegated Ely Rangers and Caerau been allocated?

Will both go into the South Wales Alliance Premier, presumably.

I assumed the SWAL would relegate four from the Premier Division. Division 1 was a club short due to the mid-season resignation of Cadoxton Barry.

If this was an English pyramid thread you can just imagine certain posters coming up with a series of dependent shifts moving club after club into leagues they don't want to be in just to keep things uniform across the land.

Instead Wales will manage it within the SWAL.

I believe Abertillery Bluebirds play at Leisure Centre 3G. Is this a typical cage set up?

A quick check on Google Maps suggests yes -

https://www.google.co.uk/...ta=!3m1!1e3?hl=en-GB

Bit of cover on one side. Looks like spectator access to all 4 sides. Is this what you call "typical"?

I wonder if this is the first time ever a league in England or Wales has had two clubs with the Bluebirds suffix in the same division....

Sorry for the random observation!

Abertillery Bluebirds will be playing at Abertillery Leisure Centre next season but i believe they plan on moving back to Cwm Nant y Groes the following season. To gain promotion into the Welsh league you have to apply based on the pitch you was playing on when you gained the promotion (unless exceptional circumstances).

So season 2020/21 they can move to Cwm Nant y Groes, providing it meets the new criteria of course but im sure this will not be a problem there

The grounds I have been to are listed as Abertillery Park for a Gwent Senior Cup game in 2003 - Tillery 2-2 Goytre and Cwmnatygroes for Bluebirds in 2011 3-2 v Llwydcoed.

The first of these was a bit of a hopfest.
I am unclear about the relative positions of Park and LC, but I think they are different places.

If access exists to all 4 sides then I would not say it's a typical cage. If there is some cover then than would also be a bonus. I assume they would require some cover to meet Welsh league grading unless that has changed for tier 4. I must confess I cannot see as much as you on link you provide but I probably need to go to specsavers!! I cannot actually see a cage or be certain access to 4 sides is available. What are those white rectangles on left side? However it seems it needs to be done next season if they are moving to a previous ground thereafter which I will also need. Thanks for your help.

The white rectangles are the roof of an area of covered standing. If you go to Street View you can see the cover and the standing areas.

I believe Tillery were a different club, the one that's now known as Abertillery Excelsiors. I didn't see them at the rugby ground (Aber Park) but in a different guise again as Cwmtillery at Woodland Field

Thanks Paddy. I hope to do venue during season but I doubt it will be my 1st port of call. I did not know about your enforced temp lay off but glad you are back in the saddle with hopefully no lasting problems. Have a good summer & hope to see you around early next season.

Official opening of a new clubhouse at Cwn Nant y Groes at the double-header friendly tomorrow seems to confirm plans Muff5 has outlined above;
