Jan Siewert has been sacked by Huddersfield Town following this evenings defeat to Fulham.

As ever with these situations, you do wonder if he was only four games away from the sack, why he was given the whole summer with the players?

Happens every year and I never understand it.

Very unfair sacking as well, he should have been given more time, especially when the new chairman and Jan kept on talking about having a three transfer window transition to get the squad to their liking.

I supported Jan since the day he arrived, it wasnít the easiest first few months for him last season but I was confident he would turn it round this season and get into the top half of the table.

As for his successor, I donít know who will replace him to be honest. There is one manager I would like, but he has just started a new job in the Bundesliga.

Much as it pains me to say it, I thought he did a great job there.
I also think another season would have been better for his CV before applying for something higher, otherwise he may get the reputation of someone who doesn't stay long at places (remember Notts County too).
I wonder what's caused this? Has Macc's situation got worse, has he had a better offer? Time will tell.

Not getting paid for 4 months might have had something to do with it.

Daryl McMahon is the new boss at Macc. Intriguing appointment, probably the cheap option too, but I was quite impressed with the job he did at Ebbsfleet.
