New Grounds Can't Post or Reply Privately

Hi all,

hope everybody is well and not too down as we may have to go a few weeks without football!

has anybody got the addresses for the below new grounds so I can add them to https://www.footballgroundmap.com/

Badshot Lea
Rayners Lane
Horsham

And any others that you know about who will be kicking off the new season at the new home

thanks as always to all

Steve

Didn't know Rayners Lane were moving - do you have a link?

Off the top of my head, other new ones include:
Basingstoke
Broadbridge Heath
Woodford Town
London Tigers, apparently

Although I haven't seen confirmation that they'll all be ready for the start of the season.

Addresses will presumably be on the clubs' websites or lurking amongst their tweets.

That's not a new ground at Rayners Lane. That's all on the same site as they've always been - I recognise the treeline - which was there 20 years ago when I used to drive the H12 past the ground!
From what I can make out, they just laid a new pitch last summer - note the photos are dated August 2018.

Thanks for clearing up the Rayners Lane situation chaps.

Another new one for next season is Workington, moving to the rugby club over the road.

In addition to the clubs above, I have Stotfold & York City moving to a new ground mid season as well as Gloucester City returning to Meadow Park in 2019/20.

I think AFC Stoneham are also moving mid-season. Gloucester may be mid-season or later. The others in the pipeline won't be next season (Boston U, Brentford, Truro et al).

Nobody does, because City of York Council isn't saying. Initially, the local authority had announced July 2019 but, having revealed the stadium won't be finished by then, has declined to commit to another date. Work seems to be progressing: the stands are up, a lot of the seats are in place and the grass element of the pitch is growing well.

Gorleston said when I went in March that they hoped to be in their new ground by Christmas

Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

...Gloucester City returning to Meadow Park in 2019/20.

The broad opinion on their forum is that it's unlikely that the stadium will be ready at any time next season. Their application for FSIF funding is in the 'due diligence' stage and that won't be finished until September. The club has said there won't be any updates on the ground until then.

The start of the 2020-21 season looks like a better bet.

1874 Northwich have now moved to "Townfield" Barnton FC's ground.
Noticed you also need to update Vulcan in the Cheshire League. They've moved into their new ground "Vulcan Sports Club" postcode: WA12 8NN

Or maybe for a bit longer. From the Hucknall Dispatch 9th January 2006: 'Ambitious Hucknall Town are aiming to move to a brand new purpose built stadium by 2008'

Still not complete. Lights are up ready, but when I was there a couple of weeks ago I got the impression they would still be starting next season at Watnall Road.

I would think Reborn yellow has better info than me, but i was told in march that once all the permissions were in place it was 34 weeks to completion. No idea what those permissions are but it think the 2 storey changing rooms/clubhouse could have been changed to one, but i am basing that on poor memory Laugh

We were due to be the first club to play at the new Southam ground but have been told the pitch will now not be ready in time so we will play on the youth team pitch and go back to the new stadium for hospitality afterwards.Mad

Re: [rainworthgord] New Grounds [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

Hucknall seem to keep cards very close to their chests with regards the move , with good reason but what little info they do release seems to imply that the place is just about ready and waiting to move in to. They have been spending money on Watnell Road which would have been better spent on the new venture so the sooner it is sorted the better.
