Am I right in thinking that when we reach 1-2-4-8, there will be three relegated from each Step 3 league, meaning that the Step 4 play-offs will include an inter divisional final?
Surely this could have occurred this season - with the best three on ppg being given byes, and the other four meeting to decide the fourth and fifth play-off winners.

Unable to find confirmation of the Southern League Step 4 play-off dates. At Bedford Town yesterday they suggested they will be away to Corby on 1st May, but I can't find formal confirmation anywhere. The SL website just talks about Sutton Coalfield and Berkhampsted trying to get into the Play-Offs.

It's Sutton Coldfield. And yes, I know you're just echoing what it says on the League website!

In the Bostik South East Division Greenwich Borough have been deducted 3 points for fielding an ineligible player. This now leaves in bottom place in the league.

Egham Town, Molesey and Fleet Town have all been relegated to Step 5 and all fall within the current boundary of the Combined Counties. This could mean a bit re-shuffling here - Horley and/or Redhill to Southern Combination ? Egham to Hellenic? Badshot Lea to Wessex?

Fleet Town could easily go to the Wessex league

I'd say Fleet Town were more likely to go to the Wessex League than Badshot Lea. They've been there before, and their closeness to the M3 seems to make that a better option

If Fleet do go into the Wessex, which is fair enough, I suspect that they won't be that happy, given their chagrin at being in South West this season. And that still leaves someone to move, as Chertsey will be replaced by Egham and Molesey .

Wessex will need someone to replace Sholing, but since Fleet Town last in it, the footprint has moved South West into Dorset, they would only have Tadley Calleva in the Northern quarter of the Hampshire for local holiday game. For Fleet travelling in Wessex better than this season but more than in Combined Counties.

Kendal Town have pointed out that they have been reprieved on account of Colwyn Bay going to Welsh football and that the same thing happened to them in 2001/2 when Gretna went to the Scottish league.

I was wondering about this as well. And then there's Carlton Town's reprieve. Leo related earlier in the thread that Carlton's position (19th) would be reprieved by the North Ferriby situation. But Carlton's reprieve is now being related to Mansfield's demotion. So is there another reprieve going? Definitely only the 14 Step 5 champions are going up. So how many, and which, of the 14 clubs placed in the bottom two positions of each of the 7 Step 4 divisions are actually going down?

Just as an aside, seeing as how the Combined Counties has chosen a Hellenic ground (Windsor) to host its LEAGUE cup final, the notion of boundaries seems to be even more fluid than ever.

I don't believe Carlton Town were ever in line for a reprieve due to North Ferriby United's demise. NFU folded in the step ABOVE, therefore the reprieve for that at Step 4 is nationwide. The club that benefits from NFU's demise is Romford in the Isthmian One North as they have the best PPG of all the 19th placed Step 4 sides.

All the other resignations have been at Step 4 and are thus dealt with, within the division the resignation happens.

Kendal Town reprieved because Colwyn Bay are off home to Wales.
Barnstaple Town reprieved because Street have resigned.
Aylesbury reprieve no one as they finished in the bottom 2 anyway.
Carlton Town are reprieved because AFC Mansfield are being demoted.

Thanks Sarumio.
I guess the leagues involved don't want to confirm the situation until ratified by the FA.

Carlton Town were briefly top of the reprieve PPG table, but as you say Romford will now get it.

Romford are like a Dad playing table football with their son. They let them take an 8-0 lead and then decide to start playing to make a game of it!

End of season performers for sure! Laugh

Thank you, I enjoy doing it and being a shift worker I see it as a contribution to non-league that I can't give on a regular basis to a club (if that makes sense). But there shouldn't be a spreadsheet to explain the rules and show the permutations. Football should be decided on the pitch and not on spreadsheets.
