Have now visited over 800 grounds, progress in recent years has been rather slow and will continue to be as things stand.

Friday 26th October:
Pro 14 - Ospreys v Connacht
2005 @ The Brewery Field, Bridgend

Ospreys can't use the Liberty Stadium in a 72 hour window before Swansea City home games and didn't want to play this on the Sunday as they wouldn't be able to field their internationals less than a week before the autumn series begins.

You mean a forum like this? None that I know of, you might be better off asking somebody like Feversham Lens or Andrew G as they watch more rugby than me. I get most of my fixture info off the RFU website or All Wales Sport, which I find is more reliable than the WRU site.

I did come across the 'Yorkshire Rugby Forum' a few years ago, and refer to it occasionally. I suspect it won't be of much relevance to someone based in south-west Wales.

I am not aware of any sites like this one, particularly focussing on groundhopping. There are some decent websites covering the higher echelons of the semi-pro game in England. NCA rugby covers levels three and four, whilst the rolling maul forum has coverage down to level five. As Feversham Lens has indicated there are forums regionally at some lower levels - seem to remember there is one covering Durham and Northumberland. In Wales, the oval zone covers lower levels in north and mid Wales.

My browser makes creating hyperlinks extremely fiddly, but some links I am sure you can copy and paste.

Friday 5 October

Swansea Uplands v Baglan in the WRU Plate.

A nice ground but superb two-storey clubhouse with brilliant viewing of the pitch. The building was completed only a year or so back due in total to a 2.25 million legacy from a former committeeman.

They have three full fixture programmes on a Friday night during the autumn internationals on 9th, 16th and 23rd November and a further two full Friday night programmes during the Six Nations on 8th February and 8th March. As well as this there is one Premiership game every Friday usually kicking off at 7:05pm and being shown live on BBC2 Wales, the next two being Llandovery v Neath on 19th and Ebbw Vale v Merthyr on 26th. Presumably BBC Wales have lost the rights to show their regional teams in the Pro 14.
