Can't quibble about any of that. Wonder when the draw will be. Must be soon but I haven't seen a date yet.

In recent years it's been the day before the league fixtures are announced, which will be on 21st June this year.

With the ending of seeding in the first two rounds we might get to see a final that doesn't involved the usual big 5 (6 if you include Arsenal) teams in the final. After last seasons fiasco with the draws maybe the EFL should ask the politicians working on Brexit to make the draws.

Why have seeding at all? Just draw the bloody balls out, how hard can it be?
We'll be, as we are, when all the fools who doubt us fade away.

My team has always been unseeded. This has meant we have always drawn a team higher than ourselves in the (previous season's) table This makes progress from Round 1 seem less likely than in an unseeded draw - but 7 out of 18 seems a reasonable return I have seen all seven second round ties, and we have lost them all. In the same period we have 11 FA Cup first round wins. Of course, it is possible to draw lower than our level here, with three non-league teams beaten at first round stage From when we joined the league (1999) to 2013, we had not lost to non-league teams, but now have done so four seasons out of five, (the odd one being when we were non-League)

The memories! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XY5Q1n3gE80 Tbh, anyone will do, just glad to avoid yet another tie with Peterborough as they're in the other section of the draw. I see McManaman, Saha and Wise are being flown over for the draw which doesn't even appear to be on TV, instead available only via the EFL website and the competition's Twitter feed.

Typical - a swift return to Prenton Park for two of Tranmere's Wembley heroes, Cook and Ginnelly, who recently signed for Walsall. The full draw, ties to take place w/c August 13: Rotherham United V Wigan Athletic Tranmere Rovers V Walsall Crewe Alexandra V Fleetwood Town Scunthorpe United V Doncaster Rovers Macclesfield Town V Bradford City Grimsby Town V Rochdale Sheffield United V Hull City Nottingham Forest V Bury Middlesbrough V Notts County Sunderland V Sheffield Wednesday Leeds United V Bolton Wanderers Carlisle United V Blackburn Rovers Mansfield Town V Accrington Stanley Port Vale V Lincoln City Preston North End V Morecambe Oldham Athletic V Derby County Shrewsbury Town V Burton Albion Blackpool V Barnsley Millwall V Gillingham Portsmouth V AFC Wimbledon Cheltenham Town V Colchester United Yeovil Town V Aston Villa Southend United V Brentford Reading V Birmingham City Wycombe Wanderers V Northampton Town Swindon Town V Forest Green Rovers Norwich City V Stevenage Exeter City V Ipswich Town Milton Keynes Dons V Charlton Athletic West Bromwich Albion V Luton Town Bristol Rovers V Crawley Town Bristol City V Plymouth Argyle Cambridge United V Newport County Queens Park Rangers V Peterborough United Oxford United V Coventry City

I reckon West Brom v. Luton Town looks a good chance for an upset, should that be the sort of thing the telly people are after. Though I doubt there'll be a very big attendance for it... I'll hopefully get the chance to get a new tick in the 92 done somewhere. At the moment, I fancy the idea of Macclesfield Town v. Bradford City, which should also be a decent match.

It looks like there could be more changes to the League Cup next season. This seasons SF may have to be delayed because of possible FA Cup 4th round and PL fixtures, one of which, Newcastle v Man City on Jan 29 is a televised game and can not be moved (no I don't understand that either). The situation is this, The second-leg ties are scheduled to be played during the week beginning 21 January, the FA Cup 4th round is January 26/27 and both Tottenham & Man City have league games on Jan 20, so possible league Cup games on 22 isn't what they want, nor wold either want to play on Jan 24. Both SF could be played on the same night, but Sky might block that one. This fixture congestion could fore the EFL to switch to one off semi finals from next season

Couldn't Sky swap Wolves v Leicester and Fulham v Spurs then have Chelsea v Spurs on the Tuesday and Burton Albion v Manchester City on Wednesday?

Believe it or not, the draw for the 1st round of the 19/20 competition will be made from a London branch of Morrison’s.
