Eight Leicestershire teams now in division one, stretching diagonally from top right (Melton) to bottom left (Lutterworth) and now well above the city line in the middle.

The west Leicestershire clubs (another 4) sit in the Midland League One and three NW clubs in the EMCL. That’s 15 clubs from Leicestershire at step 6 in three different leagues.

Exactly. Clubs in Leicestershire get a poor deal because of a number of factors but the people that have run the LSL in the past have some explaining to do.

I don’t understand. In what way do Leicestershire clubs get a poor deal at Step Six and why is it the responsitof the LSL?

I can't comment on the LSL bit, but the poor deal could be that there are 3 Step 6s they could be promoted into, and they could be switched between then every season or 2.

It's like the East Midlands in general at Steps 5, 6, and 7. 3 leagues at Step 5, 4 at Step 6, and 7 at Step 7

Remember that when we (Dunkirk) were first promoted into Step 5 we were put in the Midland Alliance, having to travel past NCEL and UCL clubs to get to most away matches.

Or the East Midlands is just a mess at Steps 5-7

Or is it that there are various ideas about where the East Midlands has its boundaries?

and according to Westminster "Midlands" strategies, Nottingham and Derby aren't.

The East Midlands is difficult to define. Some don't include Lincolnshire, some don't include Northants, some include both, some include neither. Some even include South Yorkshire. And is North Lincolnshire more Yorkshire or East Midlands?

The County FA are blamed for many of the ills in Leics and in most cases it is well justified but not sure if dodgy league placements can be laid at the Holmes Park door.

Looks like Chromasport have quit sponsorship of the league at pretty short notice after a ten year association.

One of the simpler Step 5/6 leagues to do a count for.
Two divisions of 20.
As far as I can see, only one groundshare, Pinchbeck
Three grounds required.

KK, thanks.

Generally for a ground, I have in my mind a "primary" club, and thence only the other clubs are sharers.
In the UCL, I consider the UCL clubs to be "primary" and the other clubs to be the sharer, hence my records show these as having their own grounds.
I'll be more specific with the other leagues. Only half way through the step 5/6 leagues

I believe Pinchbeck & Spalding are joint tenants

Something has changed in recent times then as Spalding wanted rid of them not long ago but got no backing from local authority who own ground.

Pinchbeck were able to gain promotion from step 7. Without ever playing a game at Sir Halley Stewart Field. At the time of there promotion, it was mentioned that they gained promotion via a groundshare. But it was pointed out at the time that they got around this, by becoming joint tenants.

That's good compared with Cheshire League website - http://www.cheshirefl.com/

Try fixtures Angelic

July 1, 2019 to June 30,2020 = 87 / 75 / 12 / inc 3 x 0-0's. (You know my rules) @ 14 / 10 / 2019.
2019/20. Benelux = Bel = 0-0-0-(I(MUI-I)-0-0)-(0-2-1-1)/ Lux = 0-2 / Neth = 0-0-0-(1 - 2) Others France = 0-0 / Germany =0-0-0 / Italy =0-1(Act 2- Frosinone new)./ Iberia = P = 0-0 & S = 0-0.

A huge loss to the UCL at the weekend with the tragic passing away of League Chairman and President John Weeks. John seemed to be in great health and so his passing is a huge shock for all. Non-League football has lost a great ambassador and the League has lost a 30 years stalwart. Further statements from the league are awaited.

Div 1 result showing today on various outlets as R&HU 2 St Andrews 1 but apparently this game was canned on 92 minutes after 8 players were sent off! Anyone throw any light on this?
