Started a bit of a project mapping all of the NCEL's current and old grounds. https://www.google.com/...322999999324&z=8 Obviously it's a work in progress, but let me know of any mistakes/omissions as I go along. I'll also ask for help in here when needed. First up, have I got the placement right for Arnold Kingswell?

Right, I've done as much as I am aware of - now it's over to others to do some mistake-spotting!

I saw Ashfield United on Lowmoor Road, Kirby in Ashfield. Pretty sure it was what is now called The Summit Centre.

Creswell Colliery's ground was further (west) along Colliery Road, on the south side, next to the old railway line. It was called 'The Huts Ground' and I actually saw one game there, a Worksop Sunday League fixture, in October 1997. I remember the concrete frame of the east stand was still in existence back then. The west stand steps are still there now! (see pics) If you look at the footpaths made by people after it was abandoned 'X' marks the centre spot! Pics: https://twitter.com/...s/816672801721643008

York... Rowntree Mackintosh played on the pitch next to the 100m running strip... the covered stand is still there, and visible on Google Street View! I saw York Railway Institute on the floodlit pitch to the right of your pin in March 2015, but I've been told they played NCEL football on the pitch to the left. And when you check Old-Maps.co.uk {OS Plan 1970-1975} the old covered stand (long gone) is immediately south of number 8 Allanson Grove's back garden! {the house with the reddish brown roof}

As for Sutton Trinity, Gordon Foster - who knows his stuff - had this to say on the 'Old NCEL Grounds' thread {post #39}... "Sutton Trinity played on a pitch that is now part of Mansfield Hosiery Mills Cricket Club, but in those days it fronted Huthwaite Road (there is a nursing home on the main road now and the cricket ground is behind). This used to be the old Huthwaite CWS ground. Hard by this was the Betts and Broughton ground which is on the site where the current Sutton Town play, but in those days the pitch was at right angles to the present position. This was the ground occupied by Huthwaite who won the Central Midlands Premier but failed on ground grading for promotion to the Supreme. There was talk of a groundshare at Alfreton because one man had connections with both clubs, but when that fell through the club folded. Sutton Trinity played one or two seasons in the old Midland League Division One and were managed by Roger West, a good mate of mine, but when Roger moved to take over at Blidworth, Trinity concentrated on what was then a thriving youth section instead and dropped out of senior football." So your pin for them should be where the care home is? Incidentally, the Rothmans FA Non-League Yearbooks list Trinity's home venue as "New Hucknall Colliery Ground, Huthwaite, S-in-A"...
