Didn't Essex have plans at one time to play matches at the London Stadium?

I finally got round to seeing Middlesex play at Merchant Taylors School today and (at the risk of introducing a cat to some pigeons, who have perhaps already released some worms from a can) found to my surprise that more than one 'ground' within the complex has been used for county matches, as verified by a Hampshire supporter who has now seen his side on both. Although both areas are adjacent and on the same unbroken grass expanse, they each have their own substantial pavilion in very different styles.

Oddly, this can be illustrated by two posters from this site who between them had already seen Hampshire on the two grounds, according to how I read their reports.
In 2014 cherryhopper seems to have visited the ground in the north west corner of the site, which has the Old Merchant Taylors CC pavilion in its south west corner (red roof, diagonally angled on Google Maps).''The ground is a pleasant venue on a nice day enclosed by trees but was dissapointed not to be on the front pitch which would have had the grand school building as a backdrop. Instead we were at the far end of the large playing fields with the players changing pavillion in the corner and the Metropolitan Line running beyond. Behind the opposite side is a 6 lane athletics track behind this a rugby pitch with a portable metal stand which I'm surprised wasn't wheeled over to the cricket pitch for this event.''
In 2016 totallyuntamed seems to have visited the ground used today, immediately to south of the other one described, with pavilion on west side, which is illustrated at https://en.wikipedia.org/...hwood#Cricket_ground .''This is a large sports facility with an Under 13 game going on on an adjacent pitch and OMT Cricket Club's ground just beyond the far boundary.''
Just thought I'd put it out there in case anyone else is interested.
