According to the club's website London Skolars are expecting a sell out on Saturday. I assume they won't be opening the terracing just the main stand. I went on the ticket page but it was no good to me as they only do 'print at home' tickets and I don't have a printer. Also it didn't confirm whether you were purchasing a stand ticket and you had to give a VAT registration number. This probably means that there will be a 'corporate' crowd of mainly Rugby Union fans who have little interest in what's going on and will spend most of the game in the bar. Have decided not to go therefore.

Wolfpack have agreed a deal with a Canadian 'broadcast partner' to screen live all their 2017 league games: https://www.torontowolfpack.com/...n-broadcast-partner/ Let's hope the likes of Dewsbury 'A' (sorry, Hemel Stags) cut the mustard...

Just the 76 unanswered points today. Going to be a walkover this season.

you had to give a VAT registration number For the benefit of others who might want to buy tickets in future: no you don't. There is a Registration section on the purchase system, and there is a drop down menu which has a choice between Company and Individual. Switch it to Individual and the VAT registration item disappears. For all other games at London Skolars there would be no need to buy a ticket in advance, just pay on the day as I have always done.

Just the 76 unanswered points today. Going to be a walkover this season. I don't why the RFL didn't allow Toronto to start in the Championship. Landslide win after landslide win isn't going to be great viewing for Canadian newcomers to the sport. They certainly had the opportunity when Bradford went pop.

Appreciate that but the Skolars are hardly the toughest opposition : I think Siddal last week gave them a harder time. Expect Keighley, Hunslet and the Cumbrian clubs at the very least to give them more of a test. But oh for the days when expansion for the RFL meant Scarboro' and Southend.......

I'd say the bog of a pitch and ceaseless rain at Chevinedge helped reduce Toronto to Siddal's standard. I'm pretty sure the New River pitch is now plastic - reflected in the final score. And Skolars have improved markedly over the last two seasons. As the weather gets better, and grounds harden, play will become quicker and quicker. Once this happens, I just can't see any of the Championship One teams living with the squad Toronto have put together. Both Whitehaven and Workington are rebuilding this year. The latter's early results - which include two defeats by Newcastle - suggest they aren't going to be a force. Barrow, on top of their game, might give Toronto a test. Keighley, possibly. Nobody else. Certainly not Hunslet.

We should get a better idea of Toronto's title credentials during the coming month. Wolfpack face trips to Whitehaven (March 12), Keighley (March 26) and Doncaster (April 9), three of Championship One's more capable teams. Haven's Recre pitch is sure to be extremely heavy, promising a much closer contest than at London Skolars. If spring's arrival continues to be delayed, Lawkholme Lane (sorry, Cougar Park) will be in a similar state. I'll probably head off to the Keighley game.

I note Wolfpack founder Eric Perez has been on the BBC today (6/3), spreading the word. A brief (and not terribly exciting) interview with Rob Bonnet on Radio Four's Today programme was followed by a much more enlightening chat with Louise Minchin and Dan Walker in front of the Breakfast cameras. In the latter interview, Perez told how, from scratch, he has founded a Canadian RL federation, established rugby league in Canadian schools, got a handful of open-age clubs playing in a meaningful domestic competition and, of course, set up the Wolfpack club. Of discovering rugby league via the telly during a visit to Birmingham, he recalled how he felt it was the "most Canadian sport Canadians have never played".

Barrow are appealing for help to raise £2,000 to help fund their second trip of the season to Toronto. When someone pointed out on their Facebook page that Toronto were supposed to be funding away teams the reply was, "That is what was said originally but it cost the club over £4,000 last time and we have to go again".

First port of call for help should be the RFL. It would be interesting to know how many other clubs have ended up out of pocket after trips across the Atlantic this season.

Saw the Wolfpack play recently. They may get promotion but will then struggle.

Will Toulouse v Toronto, be the first time two non UK teams have played a RL UK league fixture?
The feeling of utter devastation when you pick up your mug and realise you already finished your tea.

Mixing it with the big boys by opening Super League's Magic Weekend on 19th May at St James Park with a game against Toulouse Olympique X111.

TWP v Fev next Sunday for a place in SL, or is it? What is the situation with both clubs regarding promotion and if pair are knocked back will Broncos survive? Seems a right bloody mess and will surely need sorting before the game next week.

It's Toulouse v Featherstone next Sunday with the winners going to Toronto for the Grand Final the week after ! ============================================== So Toulouse could go back to Toronto after being hammered 40-24 by them in the first semi final yesterday. Grand Final , Sunday Oct 5 @ 13-30 at Lamport Stadium.
 July 1, 2019 to June 30,2020 = 127 / 107 / 20 / 5 x 0-0's. (You know my rules) @ 07 / 12 / 2019 . Belgium top 5 tiers 0-0-0-(0-1-0)-(0-1-1-2) / Holland top 4 tiers - 0-0-0-(0-0) / Lux top 2 tiers 0 -2. England top 10 tiers - 0. Now blogging at https://eccentricity.video.blog/

And are Toulouse also in the equation of potentially winning a Grand Final only to be denied a place in SL ? There was talk about the ground not being right but I think they may have gone in with the RU club but still the issue of finances has to be addressed.
