2025 Rugby League WC Can't Post or Reply Privately

According to Auntie Beeb, North America is set to host the Rugby League World Cup in 2025. I know USA & Canada are sports mad but Rugby League doesn't even register with 99.9% of the North American public. If the Toronto Wolfpack experiment falls flat then this could be a financial disaster for the RFL

Nothing wrong with bold, adventurous thinking. If the Toronto Wolfpack experiment proves a success then this could be a financial triumph for the RLIF (not the RFL). See how easy it is to be optimistic?

Been talked about for last couple of years. Hardly breaking news.

Why should the Wolfpack not be a success? They've got Nobby sorting it out after all.

Looking forward to seeing them over here in the Spring.

There are plenty of stadiums in North America, I think the RFIL will mainly use college venues, but the USA & Canada combined is a huge area and travel costs, especially around Canada will be expensive. Maybe a four nations tournament could be scheduled first to test if the interest is there.

The distances in North America, particularly as all the main Canadian centres of population are near to, and easily accessible from, the U.S., wouldn't be incomparable with those of the 2017 tournament in Australia/NZ/PNG
