If the referendum goes in favour of "Remain", what's left for UKIP to push for?

You mean they might even win another by-election.
If they were such a big force their leader would at least be elected to parliament.

Another vote in the future (probably with the backing of the people ) but hopefully with a different man at the helm.

I don't like Farage, but the Tories are being investigated for election fraud & the Thanet South constituency is one of those.

'Your vote counts' and later on down the line we have to put up with all this garbage (whatever party in or out of EU) it's a disgrace!! And people wonder why the turn out is pitiful at General Elections.

A 1981 school report. Shouldn't that be confidential unless the subject himself chooses to release it. Anyway, opinions change and one should not look at comments about a person in 1981 to show whether or not he holds such views in 2016.
There is surely enough recent evidence to condemn him, without requiring the archive

Goodness gracious, "racist and neo-fascist", who would have thought it after seeing his breaking point poster or watching his antics in the EU Parliament.

Nigel Farage would be better off keeping his gob shut. On the ITV's 'Peston on Sunday' he said that he was a victim, because of his views & Jo Cox's death. He is a genuinely unpleasant man & needs to move away from politics.

Re: [windydcfc] ukip [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

Some light relief was provided in the early part of the BBC coverage of the results by Douglas Carswell distancing himself, with obvious distaste, from Farage's immigrants horde poster and also from his party leader's whinging over the extension of the time limit for voter registration.

Carswell expressed the sensible view that the more people take part in the vote the more the outcome accurately reflects an expression of the people's will.

Farage after initially conceding defeat at the start of the coverage clearly sought spiritual comfort from whatever bottle was to hand before giving a victory speech in which he declared that the campaign had been won "without a single bullet being fired". Really?!

Is there any point in having UKIP any more? They've pretty much achieved their aim.

Why doesn't Farage move to the Conservatives and challenge for their leadership? By doing this he'd have far more of a say in negotiations.

There doesn't seem to be much difference between him, and the likes of Gove and Hunt. But, like you, it seems very very unlikely.

With the Referendum won I'd have thought that unlikely.

Unless, of course, the Remain majority among MPs try to block the UK leaving the EU.

I would expect any such attempt to lead to Brexit MPs making the House of Commons unworkable and forcing a General Election. In those circumstances UKIP could benefit from a public backlash against Remain MPs.

However, we're moving into such uncharted territory that it's difficult to predict anything.

UKIP will not be campaigning for anything. If you are on about them being a single issue party which they are not.
They have policies on Education, Health and many more. UKIP are not a campaign group, they are one of the main political parties in the UK.
They re only hated by some of you Left winged Green Party activists, what are the green party going to campaign for, as we already invest in renewable energy?

Like your claim for UKIP, the Green Party may be best known for one issue, but they entered the last election with a full set of policies

I was not making a claim for UKIP. I mentioned the Green Party as they are also a alternative party to the main 3 in England.

UKIP doing well in the Welsh Assembly elections in May had got me wondering whether Wales might vote to leave the EU.
