Some lovely old football stereotypes on show in today's Times, with an added twist that most on this forum knew already...

Middle-aged rugby fans 'worse than football yobs'

Middle-aged men who get drunk at international rugby matches behave worse than football fans
[what? all of us?] According to police Superintendant Andrew Morgan, of British Transport Police, rugby fans attending the recent Six Nations matches were drinking by 11am and would continue until taking the last train home.
"Football fans push the boundaries but they will listen," he said. "Our problem is middle-aged men, in particular, who think they can behave any way they like. They won't listen, or take advice or warnings. They will be a nightmare."

But everyone knows that football supporters are mindless thugs whereas Rugby supporters are jolly nice chaps.

The feeling of utter devastation when you pick up your mug and realise you already finished your tea.
