Thames Valley League - Berkshire Trophy Centre - Final

Madejski Stadium {KO - delayed - 19:15 ish - Marlow stuck on M4 arr 18:30}

Aldermaston AFC 1-2 Marlow Utd
{5th in TVL-Premier v 1st in TVL-P - season completed}

Several of the usual 'local' hoppers and 'sub-hoppers' in evidence; including I believe a chap who'd driven from nr Ipswich?

Certainly wouldn't have driven from Felixstowe just for this, but as I was (almost) passing I thought I'd pop in. Not a bad evening's entertainment. Only my 2nd ever visit to the Mad Stad, and what a lovely experience. Park wherever the hell you want, pop out for a fag at half time, and when the final whistle blows, back on the Motorway within 4 minutes. I picked this game because of the 7pm K.O. so was a bit hacked off at 7-20 K.O. and an 18 minute interval, but managed to get round the majority of the M25 before one lane crap.

Re the Thorne v Newark game

You were quite about the defence, our manager spent three and a half hours on the phone on Tuesday to assemble a team. Of the thirteen players we finally got to travel, eight had a total of nine first team appearances between them this season, the goalkeeper plays in midfield and half of them were playing out of position. The joys of running a football team !!

Llangollen Town v Nomads,Connahs Quay 1-3.
att.c.120
Also at this one .Previous visits in May 2006 v Rhos Aelwyd which had started earlier than advertised due to the FACup Final,so only saw 2nd half! also visited for a pre season friendly v Llandyrnogg Utd 2012.
Perfect evening for football ay very pleasant ground . Visitors just too strong for Town who battled gamely equalising Nomad's 1st half goal early in 2nd half only to concede minutes later from a corner

Prokit UK Essex Olympian League U21 Division
Redbridge 4 Hutton 4
Admission: Free
Programme: No
Attendance: 17 (h/c)

Arrived a bit late due to work commitments and by the time I got there the visitors had already taken a 4th minute lead. Hutton scored two more this half in the 32nd and 43rd minutes. Redbridge pulled one back in the 45th + 4 minute.

HALF-TIME 1-3
The hosts scored again and came back from three goals down and took the lead folowing goals in the 51st, 62nd and 65th minutes. Hutton levelled in the 77th minute to keep their title hopes alive.

Enjoyable game watched with Kevin and for most of the first half, Scott a Redbridge FC Official (do not know what his actual role is at the club)
