Southern League website Can't Post or Reply Privately

Collapsed under the strain when results were coming in on Saturday evening and has gone missing again tonight.

I thought Dennis Strudwick left long ago...

The Southern league people were probably all at Edgar Road* supporting Herefraud.

*as quoted by their now unfit and unproper owner Agombar.

Not only that but their new site doesn't give the future league fixtures anymore - you can only get these from individual clubs sites. Ridiculous. On the subject of league sites, a continued thumbs up to the Peninsula League (and their excellent 2014/15 handbook). Pity the Western League site is still dreadful. Don't these people realise that a web-site shouldn't be treated as some half-hearted add-on but a key aspect of a league's publicity/information.

Quite agree. Its like running a shop which has not had the outside painted or even cleaned for years.
It creates a very bad impression.

Hopefully they'll get over their teething problems & have the results up quicker.

Still not sure why they don't have everything mirrored on the FA Full Time website though.

Passable? Compare it to the other Step 3/4 league websites and it's clearly absolute crap. Totally unacceptable for a league of this stature.

It's gone again - and so have the two from the S&W division if they were ever up there in the first place.

Lucky they were all on here thenCool

All three are there now, and they were also there when I went in the site just before midnight last night. Must be an intermittent thing..

I'm looking at them as I type this. They're under the relevant division's tab, then results..

EDIT: Easier if I'd just given the links
http://www.southern-football-league.co.uk/...-one-central/results
http://www.southern-football-league.co.uk/...e-south-west/results

On my computer, and when I click on your links, last night's games are still showing as fixtures. Bizarre.

In neither Firefox nor IE is last nights Aylesbury/Egham result showing up for me either, even after multiple manual refreshes. The fixture is still in the Fixtures section and the league table still reads as if the game hasn't yet been played. I bet if I cleared my cache I'd get the updated version, but I'm not going to clear that out every time I want to check that website. Must be a pretty poorly authored site if a browser can't recognise when new content is available.

I'm no tekkie but that sounds plausible, to me at least. I don't bookmark them but my browsing history gives me a shortcut to the league's home page, then I go from there. Clicking those links again just now still takes me to the results.

(BTW - they were Aylesbury 4-2 Egham; Larkhall 1-2 Wimborne; Sholing 1-1 North Leigh)

EDIT: I use IE and Safari, and both have taken me to the correct results page.

Spot on, blackdouglas. Browsing history deleted and results now visible.

Confirms what I thought: Mickey Mouse website for a Mickey Mouse league. It's much better in the north.

Yeah right!! I bet the very 1st time you're stuck in snow on the M62 at Saddleworth Moor you'll be crying for those balmy winter Saturdays near the south coast!! Tongue Cool LOL...

Just check Non League Matters for your result info.

The site was updated about 10.15pm approx, although have to admit I found the results at the Non League Paper web site.
