Apart from the Lancashire Senior Cup Final which is traditionally played pre-season the others are "to be confirmed". In the case of the Royal Infirmary Cup I have no idea whether this match has already been played or not. The list is almost certainly incomplete. Lancashire Senior Cup 2011-12 Final ( @ Leyland) Accrington Stanley vs Manchester United Liverpool Senior Cup 2011-12 Final ( @ Prenton Park, Tranmere Rovers FC) Tranmere Rovers v Everton Wiltshire Premier Shield 2011-12 Final ( @ ) Salisbury City v Swindon Supermarine Worcester Royal Infirmary Cup 2011-12 Final ( @ ) Stourport Swifts v Archdales '73 Worcestershire Senior Invitation Cup 2011-12 Final ( @ Aggborough, Kidderminster Harriers FC) Kidderminster Harriers v Stourbridge

Just for the record, Tranmere won the Liverpool Senior Cup Final tonight, defeating Everton 2-1. Tranmere's first win since 1995, and a reversal of the 2007 final. Everton's second successive defeat in the final, having lost to Southport last year. Are the league sides taking part largely reserves? And how many of the Senior Cups involve both league and non-league sides? I understand the Manchester Senior Cup is limited to league clubs, while others, such as London and Hampshire, are entirely non-league. A mix of league and non-league sides (even if the league sides are reserves) seems more interesting to me. The Lancashire Senior Cup looks good in that respect, covering a wider geographical region that includes both Liverpool and Manchester.

Lancashire run two seperate competitions, the senior cup for league sides and challange trophy for non-league. Hampshire Senior Cup is NOT entirely non-league, Aldershot Town always enter, although Southampton and Portsmouth have not even entered a reserve side for some time, AFC Bournemouth do enter some years (including 2012-3 where they are home to Winchester City in round 2)

Are the league sides taking part largely reserves? . Tranmere normally field the reserves while Liverpool and Everton usually use mostly youth team players. Last night was Rovers first team squad v a strong Everton reserves, though that was mainly because it was a pre season game. All a far cry from the 80s when I remember South Liverpool defeating a Liverpool side containing the likes of Phil Thompson, Gary Gillespie and Bob Bolder.

I'd been checking regularly on Woodbridge Town website to see when Churchman Cup Final would be played. It was added to the fixtures just before the game was played I reckon &/or typically the one time I didn't check. It was played on Wednesday 17th October: Woodbridge Town 4 Grundisburgh 1

Disappointingly the 2011-12 Wiltshire Premier Shield Final was postponed and as of now there is no indication of when it will be played. Salisbury City, according to their site, have had plenty of free dates since the beginning of October, and have many more in the weeks ahead. However the same site suggests that they didn't play in this season's FA Cup, in reality they played two matches, and that they played two Conference South home games behind closed doors, non league matters records over 1450 people as having attended the two matches in question. Swindon Supermarine's site acknowledges the October postponement and appears to list all their first team fixtures and results. By chance they have a free date tomorrow. Come on Wiltshire FA. Sort it out.

I have only seen this thread but in pre season we had our Presidents Cup Final (Capital Football League) ENFIELD TOWN 1-3 AFC HORNCHURCH Played at AFC Hornchurch.
I would laugh my head off if AFCW went down along with ColUwe and We**ham.

Are there any rules in England on how long a cup can be held-over for? I.e. so many weeks months or, dare I say it, seasons? Up in Scotland, last season's Forfarshire Cup Final still hasn't been played!! There's a sort of 'understanding' that cups won't be held-over more than once, though until a few decades ago, finishing 2 seasons late wasn't totally unknown. Some recent 'held-over' tournaments that weren't completed until into the next calendar year include: * 2005-06 East of Scotland Cup... 31st January 2007 * 2006-07 EOS Cup... 22 April 2008 * 2006-07 EOS Shield... 7 May 2008 * 2007-08 Forfarshire Cup... 28 April 2009 * 2007-08 Fife Cup... 8 April 2009 * 2007-08 EOS Cup... 25 March 2009

I have never heard of such a rule. This is up to each league / cup to determine as far as I know.
I would laugh my head off if AFCW went down along with ColUwe and We**ham.

Never - it wasn't started. Forfarshire Cup has been a disaster for some years now. Was turned into U20s + 3 overagers for 2011-12 to try and make scheduling easier.
