haha, you grumpy old git WinkTongue

I've always enjoyed the 5/6 nations, but only on Sky+ (or in the old days, VHS) so you can get each game over with in about 30 minutes having watched all the meaningful action Laugh

In all seriousness though, Union has improved massively as a spectator sport over the last 10 years or so.

I've learnt to appreciate it as time, money and family have restricted my travelling greatly, so I now have a whole new ruck of new grounds available to visit within an hour or so of home, whereas I have very few in football (or rugby league) without going much further afield which is pretty much off limits these days.

As someone who likes England to win, even if I'm not interested in the sport, the Six Nations really is something I couldn't care less about.

If England win, then fine...if we lose then I am amused at the rah-rahs getting beat!

A few years ago I had the misfortune to go to Paris to watch Red Star play, the same weekend when England were over there in the Six Nations.

What a bloody embarrasment their pissed fans were...yet it's football fans who get the bad press(right so, when there's trouble) but this lot were ten times worse than Liverpool Street Station at 11.30pm on a Friday night!

Grounds visited: 745

Are you sure that was booze & not the toilets overflowing? Always difficult to distinguish lager from effluence in both taste & texture Tongue

Never mind, eh - you're the only bloke I know of who supports two teams in the Six Nations.

Ireland v England next week will now be a triple-crown decider at the very least.

Well, well, well - Italy turn France over again in front of 67,529 in Rome. Could be a watershed moment.

When I said I'd like to watch England play this weekend (I grew up around rugby union and played it at school so I'm somewhat of a fan), my wife went somewhat crazy for it. Even sat down and watched the first half of Italy/France. My wife actually might be a rugby fan but she didn't even know it...

My interest in the Six Nations is solely that due to my wife being Irish it goes a long way to determining the atmosphere in our house five weekends a year.

My wife is from Chile and their main rivals for anything are Argentina and Spain. She gets into English and British stuff generally, she was crazy for the Olympics also. She was very excited the Ireland/England is on Sunday as we have plans for tomorrow.
