Why is calling someone a twat deemed acceptable on this forum when far less insulting comments/posts/opinions are not?

Nottingham Forest 0 Watford 3
Entrance - 25
Programme - 3
Coffee - 2

Watford continued their great form with a dominating display over Forest. The counter attacking football was a times a joy to watch. Matej Vydra netted his 10th goal in 5 games. The locals seemed very unimpressed with current tactics as they shouted 'hoof' every time a Forest player dare knock it long.

Shocking that they questioned your press pass request and you had to pay admission unlike the rest of Scotland who as you say grant your wishes willingly !!
Who was your match report for ?

I think, what you meant to say was that it was easier in your day, when "press passes" were accepted without question, and you never had to pretend to be writing? (And I am not saying I have never got away with one myself).

No I am not saying that , what I am saying is that I never had a dig at a club for refusing a request.

Re: [dottirofhod] Saturday 26th January [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

I recall one midweek game back when I was first picing off the Scottish League grounds, mid-to late 80s.
At this time I was a relative innocent, and had never thought of trying to con my way into a ground for free (honest guv).
I saw two other groundhoppers up from England. Not names or faces i remember, so I cannot name names, (certainly not Hod or any of the regulars I travel with nowadays). Anyway this pair went up to the office and demanded dree entry, not because they were press, scouts or any other group, but simply on account of them having done the mileage from England. They got away with it as well
I still paid, not having the sense to follow the other pair in.

I've got a long memory. It was the "I'm the first person to have done the 92 standing on one leg and now I'm doing Scotland as well, so let me in for sod all and give me a free programme and a nice present as well" type that really annoyed me.
