Pearce Can't Post or Reply Privately

Please no!

For goodness sake not him.

I know its only for 1 game but bloody hell!

The plebs at the FA mumble-on about engaging with the passion and expectations of the supporters?

What should be a gourmet feast of football against the Dutch, will now end up like a tin of corned beef.

Did you not see the Netherlands in the World Cup Final? And when have England served up any 'gourmet football' recently?
Won't stop me going though. Would rather have a honest man in charge than a crook.
Annoyingly for pedants like me, the ticket for the game says England v. Holland. There is no such country. The FA should study geography!

disagree with you totally regarding Mr Pearce; I hope he is successful and takes us into the Euros. He was a player who wore his heart on this sleeve and gave a 100 per cent wherever he played and loved representing his country. If he can translate half his enthusiasm into some of our grossly overpaid and under-achieving primadonnas, then he will have achieved a lot; perhaps he will get rid of some of the old lags (Terry, Ferdinand, Cole, Lampard) and bring in some of the younger players and give them their head; I do agree that he will need to have a good coaching staff behind him. Good luck to the man!!

The people on the street want Shearer. I have to agree with them.

The Dutch game would be the ideal vehicle for Alan to get us in the fast lane.

Sadly you cant get away with just passion these days. You a tactician with a brain, sadly i dont think Mr Pearce hasn't proved he's got these, if he had, he'd have a proper job by now.

Like I say, get Shearer on the case.

He proved he could cut it tactically at Newcastle (under difficult circumstances).

This would be the challenge Alan has been primed for.

The whole country would love to see him back at Wembley, arm aloft etc.

He's also an expert communicator in media circles, something we've sadly lacked these last couple of years.

I wish Pearce the best of luck and hope he's wildly successful and is given the job on a permanent basis. Either that or Shearer gets the job, or Warnock, or anybody for that matter just as long as Redknapp stays at Spurs.

Shearer? SHEARER????

Is the same bloke who loved his country so much he 'retired' from international football?

Wouldn't touch him with the proverbial bargepole...unless I was whacking him over the head with it!

If I thought for one second that we actually had a cat in hell's chance of winning the thing I'd want the best manager possible. We haven't, so my priority is Spurs keeping a manager who, although we haven't actually won anything, has got us playing good football and in with a chance of winning something. It's been too many years since I've been able to say that.

I'm sorry, but I really do not believe this lot of England players would win anything even if we could miraculously bring Cloughie back from the dead and restore him to the way he was in his pomp. So I don't think it matters who is manager because I don't believe the players are good enough to win it. Simple as that.

"the people on the street" must all be residents of Loony Lane, Barmytown.

I'd give it Martin Allen or Warnock.
