Non-league club websites Can't Post or Reply Privately

Hi folks, was wondering what your favourite club website and why?

I have been doing a lot of work this season on the Bracknell Town website and would like to compare it against what you think are the best.

I'm not really interested in clubwebsite or pitchhero unless something phenomenal is going on.

For what it is worth, I'm a big fan of http://godalmingtownfc.co.uk . Love how clean, tidy and smart it looks. It has nothing to do with the club having a big ex Bracknell contingent!

Well, I personally like http://www.levgreenfc.co.uk/ , but I could be accused of showing some bias there. I'd like to give it more flair in the design department, but don't really want to add social networking or comments sections etc.

I like http://www.aylesburyunitedfc.co.uk/ - worthy of a club several levels higher, although it can be a bit slow to load some pages.

It's not non-league, but I'm impressed by the general design of Cowdenbeath's site. I may use some elements of this for "inspiration".

It's been dead for a while (just over 3 years) but my site was always regarded as one of THE best in non-league football

Take a look, but please bare in mind it's not live anymore.

Good to hear from you Grantham, hope you're well!

A previous incarnation of our site took inspiration from a older version of the Grantham Town website, and I'm still using the Soccer Stats Script, along with some of your add-ons.

I'd like to think ours is pretty decent: http://www.walthamforest-fc.co.uk

I get:

HTTP Error 504: Gateway Timeout

The server, while acting as a gateway or proxy, did not receive a timely response from the upstream server it accessed in attempting to complete the request.

Sut, now that you are getting on better with the hierarchy at GTFC, what are the chances of you resurrecting your club site?

No chance, I don't do much more than attend games nowadays, that's how it will remain

There seem to be fewer decent independent sites now.

Too many gone to Pitchero - sites which I find largely unusable due to slowness and repetitive pop-ups.

One that I like a lot is Hendon, navigation is good, response time is rapid, content is first-class.

The icing on the cake is its superb archive.

Epsom & Ewell's site is a real treasure trove, especially for history buffs and stattos: http://www.eefconline.co.uk/

More modest but some interesting stuff, including photo galleries going back to the 1970s, on South Liverpool's site: https://www.southliverpoolfc.com/ (EDIT - I'm sure they used to have more older stuff on there, looks like they've slightly remodelled the site and might still be reloading content)

First venture on the football archives site it is a very good read.
Lutterworth Atho site is in need of care and attention as they are saying the next fixture is on Thursday 1st Jan 1970 at 01:00 AM!

I noticed that this morning. Their Twitter feed is not a whole lot more useful but I get the impression that the whole club could do with a bit of care and attention at the moment so maybe social media is not their primary concern currently. Still, it's not ideal for those of us who were thinking of going to their match tonight given how moist it's been this week!
