Most Sports Venues Visited (Not Football) Can't Post or Reply Privately

On the General Thread there is a post on a guy visiting a number of different venues, which got me thinking who has done the most venues at various Sports?
Different Sports with my humble totals and others who have better totals. Lets see who is tops in each different section:
American Football: 0
Basketball: 0
Cricket: 2
Greyhound Racing; 2
Horse Racing: 4 - Rob North: 55
Ice Hockey: 3
Rugby League: 12
Rugby Union: 2
Speedway: 21 - Youngster: 170

I think that has covered most of the major Spectator sports, so come on who can beat these totals?

By my reckoning, I've been to 52 rugby league grounds, though that was fag packet calculations based on the sides currently in the top three divisions plus one ground for Chorley and two for Blackpool. Also been to Stade Francais ground for a rugby league international along with rep games at Old Trafford, City of Manchester and Elland Road. Also 4 National Conference grounds (both Leigh East grounds, Leigh Miners, Wigan St Pat's and Wigan St Jude's).

Matt, that's five RL Conf grounds mate!

Here;'s mine although I doubt this is complete

American Football: 5
Basketball: 0
Cricket: 10
Greyhound Racing: 2
Horse Racing: 1
Ice Hockey: 30
Rugby League: 92
Rugby Union: 20
Speedway: 17

Some grounds have more than one entry, Borough Park at Blackpool being the most I would think, with 4 different sports: Rugby League (Blackpool Borough), Football (Wren Rovers), Greyhounds & American Football (Fylde Falcons)

The old McLaren Field at Bramley gets three entries for Football (Bradford PA), RL (Bramley) and American Football (Leeds Cougars). I've also seen the same three sports at Deepdale.

So it is! Blush

Think I'm probably a rarity on here that the only live sport I've seen is football, rugby league and ice hockey, aside from a drunken 20 minutes watching Netherfield Cricket Club when waiting for a taxi to Oxenholme station after a friendly away to Kendal Town.

Probably around 20 for Speedway, Rugby Union and Basketball and only one for American Football, a figure highly unlikely to change and Ice Hockey and into double figures for Horse Racing and Greyhounds

Cricket is hard to quantify, can I count scoring a game in the total?, can I count half an hour before a football match or just the professional level. I trust I do not need a programme to count them as this would reduce the cricket from c 100 to nil

Rugby League has become my sport of choice since I lost all interest in watching football and have done over 200 grounds but am far from being top of the list. As with most groundhopping the ones who have done the most, have the least idea of their total

We didn't use to refer to it as "kick and clap" for nowt y'know Wink

I can add one grasstrack speedway meeting to my list....that goes in my "never again" section, along with motorcycle scramble racing (or whatever the proper title is) and horse racing.

Much preferred the atmosphere at the greyhounds, I use to go to Blackpool dogs quite regularly in the 80's.

Rugby League 157, 95 with Eagles

Rugby Union 33, seen a lot of RL on RU grounds, which are counted above. My totals are helped by summer RL.

My mate is a RL hopper, I would imagine he's in the 300's.

Greyhounds 2, both of which are RL ticks. Want to do Shawfield at some point.

House racing 1, agree with Feversham Lens, not a sport for me. Beverley.

Ice Hockey 2, both freebies, wouldn't pay to watch it.

Basketball 1, see above

Wrestling 1, a very long time ago when I was just a kid.

It happens normally on Saturday night. You come out of the pub and you have to run to the nearest house that's having a party!

Good spot!
