One of the first things I was told as a rookie union rep was; "If it's not put on paper, it never happened". Naive practise by Hamilton.

Absolutely. The Court had little option but to grant his claim for unfair dismissal. However, they have gone out of their way to paint McCormack as a reprobate, and I don't think they'll award him much in the way of compensation. And hopefully he'll find it hard to get another job in football after this.
