an on-field birthday present from your club? Can't Post or Reply Privately

Has your club ever made your birthday with an excellent performance on the pitch? Or has any other club?

I remember around 40 years ago on my actual birthday, Southend United's 'A' side making my day by winning 12-1. If I remember it was 5-0 at half-time - I think!

A couple of good results from Tiverton on my birthday.

16/2/91 - Chard Town 1-9 Tiverton Town WLP
16/2/93 - Barton Rovers 0-4 Tiverton Town FAV

Most recently was a 1-0 home win against Bromsgrove Rovers in 2008 but that wasn't in any way an excellent performance.

Gravesend & Northfleet ruined my 12th birthday...beating us 1-0 in an FA Cup 3rd qualifying replay, in '78/9.

Not sure how many more there were over the years, usually too drunk! The then chairman Steve Walker gave me a bottle of champers on my 21st, which was nice.

Since I've been sober I actually don't watch the Hamlet on my birthday. I 'treat' myself to a budget trip to the Czech Republic as a 'sobriety presemt' to myself, & enjoy football & ice hockey over there. This year it's on a Sunday, so it will, hopefully, be football in the afternoon somewhere, followed by ice hockey. Marvellous!

Never. In fact I don't believe we've ever won on my birthday. Unsure

My brother was less than delighted when the fixture computer gave him a day trip to Luton for his birthday next April!

Sheffield Wednesday winning on my birthday, hmm? Google said "Did you mean Sheffield Wednesday defeats?" Anyway, games on my birthday...

Day I was born
Sat 21st November 1992: Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Ipswich Town

3rd birthday
Tues 21st November 1995: Arsenal 4-2 Sheffield Wednesday

6th birthday
21st November 1998: Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 Manchester United (same season we also beat Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool at home, all 1-0)

7th birthday
Sun 21st November 1999: West Ham United 4-3 Sheffield Wednesday

17th birthday
Sat 21st November 2009: Ipswich Town 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday (I was convinced this would be a draw, almost stuck 100 on it, Mad). Strangely the return game was on my Dad's birthday Crazy

2 draws, 1 major win and 2 defeats Remember watching Grandstand on a Sunday to hear about Wednesday's defeat to West Ham, ah the memories of work free Sundays Frown
