Having a two legged league cup seems a fantastic way of reducing the number of games you play. Just think, they could have kept a couple more teams in the league instead. Brilliant.

I don't think they wanted to reduce the number of games, just the number of teams and increase the quality of the facilities within the league.

They'll be falling over each other getting into these League Cup ties.
