For Spurs Ian Moores gets my vote. But then there have been so many to choose from. Unsure

My Mrs still has nightmares of Ian Walker in a Spurs shirt.

For Palace, many to choose from but Tomas Brolin was comical. He would have had better quality pies staying at Leeds.

As a Blade who followed home and away for years when we in 4th division and at bottom of 3rd, I'd have to be typing for about ten hours to list them all.

Saying that, present team is even bloody worse than some of them.

We'll be, as we are, when all the fools who doubt us fade away.

My votes go to:

Ricky Otto - Fantastic debut, but was more of a primadonna than a player.

Ferndinand Coly/Giovani Espinoza/Piotr Sczczreweki/Martin Latka - All woeful defenders with short lived careers.

Oliver Kapo - A one half player. Wigan must have seen him coming ;)

David Dunn - Perpeutally injured.

Rowan Vine - We paid 2.5 million from Luton for him where he scored for fun.....only ONE yes ONE goal for Blues.

Christopher Wreh - Less said the better.

Tony Hey - Sold as the "best player never to make the Germany team"....yes we can see why Trevor.

James McFadden - Hope someone buys him off us.

Carlos Costly - Thankfully he wasn't that "Costly" as he was a loanee from a Polish side. Woeful. Had no clue how to pass and could not score even if his life depended on it.

Salif Diao - Woeful.

Luciano Figueora - This one bit us on the bum. Played 78 mins for Blues, about two years later he was playing for Argentina scoring for fun!

A few I can think of not my own team though...

Ali Dia - Southampton
Milton Nunez - Sunderland
Rafael Schiedt - Celtic(he lived up to his name, which is pronounced the same a bowel movement)

Many of these examples are from recent times, with silly money, a vast number of foreign imports and rapid turnovers of playing staff such that nobody can keep track of the movements of obscure and little known players. There must be better examples from the days when foreign players were unknown in the British game and big money, big name transfers were big news and the players concerned came under much closer scrutiny. Going back to my school days I can think of two big transfers that didn't make it: Peter Marinello and Ted McDougall.

For Swinedown there's David Peach, 150,00 at a time when you could buy a new stand or even a proper footballer for that kind of money.

Of course, ther's more. For a club that have always pleaded poverty, it's just as well seeing as how it gets squandered if ever they get any.

I will raise your David Mills with West Ham offloading Oxford United's favourite mummy's boy on us.

Okay then , Alun Evans, Tony Hateley and Frank McGarvey at Liverpool.

Those within the last decade - the list is just too long Mad

The biggest transfer I could never get my head round was Clive Allen signing for Arsenal from QPR and within six weeks going to Crystal Palace in exchange for Kenny Sansom. Not that either was in any way a flop.

Northwood, Threave Rovers, Arsenal, Rangers (the real ones, NOT qpr),Watford, Rochdale, queen of the south and a few others.

Didn't Souness give his nephew Mick a run out at Southampton?
