Thank you Paul, bit of luck on that guess and not sure whether you would have classed Liverpool as lancashire but I think lancashire have played cricket at Liverpool.

Anyway, I have thought of one. My internet connection has been playing up of late so hope we have a smooth run on this one.

Fire away with questions when you are ready.

Well done Chris!

Looks like I'll kick it off then. Is it an event/occurrence?

Chris - yes, I was counting Liverpool in Lancashire, especially as the cricket ground used by Lancs (@ Aigburth) is barely a mile from Holly Park. Didn't fancy opening up the old metropolitan county debate either...

Anyway, while T'Pau gets over his trauma Wink, I'll give you my question - was the event/occurrence scheduled in advance?

Ouch that one hurt ! Mad Although your guess is not completely off. This one is not too difficult in my opinion and should not take long to find the correct answer. (so not Sutton knocking Coventry out of the FA Cup).

Hmmm -think I know what you mean but the event/occurrence was not scheduled in advanced. No-one could have predicted in advance of this/these event/events/occurrences that happened.

G) Man United and Liverpool both getting knocked out in 3rd Round of FA Cup at home to lower league opposition?

g: coventry city winning the fa cup in 1987, beating tottenham hotspur 3-2 in the final? a giant-killing in some peoples eyes [mainly spurs fans], but not mine.

No Paul, not the Hillsborough Disaster and no connection whatsoever to the FA cup. I think that my little hint to an earlier answer has probably been of no help and been completely misunderstood.

Damned right I'm traumatised. I blame Jamesie for asking me about my avatar!

I'll have a wild stab because I'm still irked. Is it England losing to the mighty Magyars whenever it was in the 50s?

Q - Did this event just relate to one game or did it relate to a series of games.

G - Derby Co. winning Football League title while Brian Clough was on a beach somewhere when their nearest rivals lost their last game of the season.

Not sure whether your question maybe two questions in one as the answer might not relate to any football games but will happily answer to move things along.

Yes, it did relate to one specific game, but not Brian Clough sat on the beach when the nearest rivals lost their last game of the season.
