Twenty Questions #218   or Reply Privately

Thanks Mip I actually had this for a guess late yesterday but Just did not submit it as I thought it was way off.. I was actually concentrating on the Ref himself Robert Hoyzer as being central to the events. When I asked If the event was connected to a specific individual it is obvious that you considered the events as being the whole series of match fixing games in that period with several people involved..

Anyway, I have one or two ideas for this 20q lines up so please feel free to submit your questions. I will return online tomorrow morning AM.

Ah, I see your point. All a matter of exactly how you see it. In my mind I had it down as the Paderborn v Hamburger SV match followed by the enquiry into Robert Hoyzer.

Anyway, is it a club this time?

Q: Is he a current player?

A very good question to ask Mick - He is indeed a current player.

Perhaps a very small clue now. I have selected this player because there is the usual bit of interesting trivia connected to him. I think that if you search for it trawling through the various web sources it will be very difficult to find. So just for fun, extra brownie points awarded if you can come up with it on your answer.

Just to clarify though I am only looking for the players name (not the trivia) which will be the winning answer.

Q) Was the player born in "the 80"s" ?

G) Freddy Adu (Youngest player to both play and score (aged 14) in MLS)

Yes, Mr Doodle our mystery player was born in the 80"s a few good narrowing down questions being asked at the moment.

but not Mr Freddy Adu - In the words of that catchphrase chappy Roy Walker - " Its good but its not right"

Are we creating history here by having the 1st 20Q game solved within 24 hours. Still a lot of potential guesses to come before midnight !!!

Q: Has the player played at national team level?
(Just to try to narrow down.)

I hope I win again soon, because my goal is to have at least one victory per month!

More successful narrowing down.

Yes Lars, the player has played at national level. You still have time to have a guess today if you wish.

G: Souleymane Mamam, youngest player to appear in a World Cup qualifying match - and then perhaps not as his birthday apparently is not certain.

No not this particular gentleman but you are on the right lines with your reasoning. Just to again clarify it is only the players name I require
