I move that in this case (and any subsequent cases possibly arising) such a 'mistaken entry' should not be punished by the player losing 'his go' per se in the division concerned... just allow (say) the closest 'real' team alphabetically to the one actually entered to be the choice instead.

Thus, by my (quick) reckoning - Thamesmead - would fit the bill here ?

I APOLOGISE UNRESERVEDLY TO EACH AND EVERY PERSON ON THIS FORUM WHO HAS FELT LET-DOWN BY MY INIMICABLE AND DEPLORABLE BEHAVIOUR OF OCTOBER 28th. 2009. ESPECIALLY TO BRIAN, WHO IS A MARVELLOUS GENTLEMAN AND IS THE LAST PERSON HERE WHO SHOULD HAVE TO PUT UP WITH SUCH UNDESERVED PERSONAL CHARACTER-ASSASSINATION. LET IT BE KNOWN THAT A PRIVATE PERSONAL APOLOGY WAS SENT, BUT WAS SEEN INSUFFICIENT. FAIR ENOUGH.

Angus, Thamesmead Town are in the Ryman League Div 1 North!!! The only "T" team in the Kent League is Tunbridge Wells (6-0 winners in their first game vs Sporting Bengal).

lol - darn it ! I knew I'd end up doing that, no matter how hard I tried not to !

I was muttering " Tunbridge yes, Thamesmead no" to myself throughout writing and also throughout a kiddie-quake at the same time !

Murphy's Law enacted, I guess.Unsure

Are you planning on summarizing the answers?
Like:
Conf Nat: TeamA 8, TeamB 4, TeamC 3, TeamD 3, TeamE 1
and so on...

Just curious. Wink

Lowestoft are not competing in the Vase this season after there promotion last season.

Sparky... nominate one asap... and then the arguments about whether to allow it may procede.

Certainly if one ain't nominated, it ain't gonna count !

I'd have been more inclined to allow it before the side played their first game - eg some leagues did not start until Aug 12 or 15. However, it's now a few weeks into the season, so I think it's a little too lateUnsure. It'd also be a bit unfair on andy1886, who nominated an incorrect Kent League side, and it's certainly too late to nominate there. You're doing pretty well without one so far though, 4th last week and 5th this one - details to be posted soon!
