According to Lazio's website (only in Italian), they start at 15 for tickets in "curve e distinti" - which I think translates approximately as "The Gods" - and for the section for disabled people, and go up to 99 for Tribuna Onore.

As always in Serie A, for some games there are no tickets on general sale - only season ticket holders and their guests.

99 Euros is more like 75 at the moment.

Yes, they're doing OK - fifth right now, and they were top for a couple of weeks. Losing at Bologna this week wasn't really in the plans though, so they'll be looking for a return to form against fourth place Napoli this week.

Re: [AndyE] Re Lazio [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

by happenstance i saw lazio at the week-end at bologna

at all 3 grounds i attended "curva " meant curve . All 3 stadiums were round ie not square like most english stadiums and the curve does sometimes include behind the goal

from what i saw the real hard-core supporters use these areas presumably because they are so much cheaper but the grounds being all seater and safe because of the high security meant that i had excellent views although only paying 20 euros about 17

be aware though that there was no cover at all so on a wet day it might be less fun

Re: [aicwhu] Re Lazio [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

One or more of five particular reasons...

1. I've always wanted to go to that town/region
Rovaniemi (Arctic Circle), Pelister Bitola (Lake Ohrid), Timisoara (scene of 1989 uprising), Tavriya Simferopol (Crimea)

2. I've been to the place before and have a soft spot - and never got a game in on previous visitsUnsure
Flora Tallinn, Sassari Torres, Real Sociedad

3. They're not the top teams in their country but occasionally have a good season and challenge for the title or win the Cup
Teuta, PAOK, Trabzonspor

4. Romantic names
Fram, Cosmos

5. Perhaps the most important...teams with daft names!
Tom Tomsk, Yesil Bogatyr wotsit, Wisla Plock, Grbalj (surely pronounced Gerbil?!), Mika Ashtarak, Zimbru, Zalgiris and Beersheva!

Hope that clears it up!!

Porto no longer play at the ground where Wrexham won in 1985, they have moved to a new one very close to where the old one was (about quarter of a mile away.)
But then I wouldn't expect someone who doesn't know the exchange rate of the pound to the euro to be an expert in these things. And for asking where Lazio are in Serie A - why didn't you just look it up?

Re: [aicwhu] Re Lazio [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

Hopefully one day I'll get to do them, but there's not many accessible by cheap flights now and anyway, I'm off to live in Brazil in January and I don't know how often I'll be returning to Europe in the next few years.

Still, that gives me South America to do...

Argentina - Velez Sarsfield
Bolivia - The Strongest
Chile - O'Higgins
Colombia - Roja Espreso Cartegena
Ecuador - Emelec
Paraguay - 12 de Octubre
Peru - Cienciano
Venezuala - Mineros de Guayana
Surinam - Voorwaarts
Guyana - Monedderlust

Already done Gremio in Brazil and Fenix in Uruguay.

Argentina, Paraguay and Peru are top of my list!

Interesting to hear you went to Ciudad Bolivar...how did you get there? Bus from Caracas?
How long did it take.?

Thanks!!

Re: [aicwhu] Re Lazio [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

Wow, living there must have been fascinating! How long ago was that? Pre Chavez or fairly recently?

I chose Mineros as I quite fancied being able to say I'd seen the Orinoco river - apparently it was named after a Womble!

Sadly, a trip to Venezuela's probably not going to happen for a while. Got to get my feet under the table in Brazil, get my work sorted out and get a bit of money saved up.

A weekend in Buenos Aires is probably the only trip I'll get next year - unless Gremio get an exotic trip in the Libertadores!

Cheers!
