Ken Naganuma was one of the most important figures in Japanese football history. He has died aged 77 as a result of complications from pneumonia. He was a player, coach and then President of the Japan Football Association. Ken played a central role in the establishment of the J.League in 1993 and was the brains behind the successful competition it is today.
