Of course they doBlush There was talk last season of the club stripping season tickets from holders who were not attending games.

Arsenal think having a season ticket means compulsory attendance? I can't see that standing up in court but I wouldn't put it past a club to treat it's supporters in this way.

I'm sure it was discussed on here but i can't find it.

They claimed other fans could have purchased the seats for games that were being left vacant by people that were boycotting them. I heard no more about it so assume they realise they woulnd't have a leg to stand on if it reached court. Doubtless in the back of their minds was also the lost revenue on other things by the absent fans.

Surely last night it was more the case that fans couldn't get to or from the ground by public transport rather than a boycott. Despite being a North London club Arsenal have a fair bit of support from Kent, Surrey etc and if trains were stopping at 8pm getting anywhere, apart from on the underground would be a problem.

Certainly and that would explain the poor Tottenham gate the night before but will we be seeing loads of empty seats for the remainder of the season at Arsenal? I would not be at all surprised.

If season ticket holders stay away then where is the problem. OK there are empty seats but the season ticket has already been paid for it. Would Arsenal allow fans to resell tickets for games they can't/won't attend, probably not, but the club themselves would be prepared to resell a seat if they could to make a few extra quid.

It's part and parcel of the ticket sames scheme now, called the ticket exchange or something similar. It's marketed as an additional way for more lowly level members to get tickets for games beyond the allowance for that level.

No, that's been cancelled (again).

It's St. Arsening day that we'll be celebrating. Sly

Whoever it is, English won't e there native language. Eddie Howe will be mentioned because his name always seem to come up when their are vacancies.

Some quotes attributed to Wenger today more than give the impression that he has no intention of walking away and will be seeing his contract out.

He'll never walk away, he needs to be pushed. I have no idea who would be a good candidate to replace him and I don't bother speculating, but if you look at the paucity of performances from a group of players who aren't as bad as they make out, it should be an attractive option for many, even if it's a stepping stone to the likes of Real, Barça et al. I think most Arsenal fans just want to see the players be the sum of their parts, and if they pick up the odd cup here or there all the better.

Indeed and quite honestly I think Wenger should have been sacked years go, he's lived on past glories for far too long. He's in a comfort zone and so are many of the players.

Well when he was in charge of Wycombe it is said that the players didn't have a clue about what he was going on about 3/4s of the time, I'm sure he'll go down a storm at London Colney.

With Arsenal into the last 8 of the Europa League they could end up qualifying for the 2018-19 Champions League and win a major trophy which is what Arsenal fans want, iss't it?

Massive shoes to fill and it'll surely take time for any new man to impose his identity on the club, not just on the team. Probably the right time to go, though, and I'm glad he's been able to leave on his own terms with his head held high.

Almost 22 years in post and never less than a sixth placed finish in the top flight.

49 games unbeaten in one season......Seven FA Cups, 3 Championships and a European Final is quite a haul.

Will Arsenal replace him with an ex-Gunner?
Viera looks like everybody's favourite.

Would Viera be a risk? Probably not as he knows the club inside out and i remember the paper headlines with 'Arsene Who' the Wenger was appointed and that didn't turn out bad.
