Rangers short-term financial woes... the £8M+ needed at the end of March... may be resolved by the offer of investment from 3 businessmen called George Letham, George Taylor and Douglas Park. They had offered £6.5M for new shares, and Letham has just bought 16% of the existing shares from Laxey Partners, who oppose Mike Ashley.

Wouldn't it be more appropriate for him to put some money into Hamilton Accies?

Rangers have this morning had to take an emergency £500k loan from one of the Easdales, after they were served 7 days notice by HMRC over unpaid National Insurance... winding-up and administration loomed.

Simultaneously and in the bizarre sort of world which the Rangers story seems to operate, an American basketball mogul is claimed to be mounting an ~£18M takeover bid.

That was my first thought of club the size of Gers selling one of the best players they have to Brentford but more worrying McCloud seemingly having no problem leaving. An absolute disgrace whats happening at Ibrox and with people in charge saying they are prepared to run the club with no support then the end is nigh yet again for the biggest club in Scotland.

All good news for the Bees Smile - Can someone answer me one thing with all of this. Who are deemed the good guys who will be the best bet for the clubs future and who are seen as the bad boys who want to keep their fingers in the pie and syphon money off to their dodgy companies?

Know for a fact that he watched Accies a lot when he was growing up. He's not alone on this. The Easdale brothers are really Morton fans according to some. A lot of people in the west of Scotland have a big team and a wee team.

Rangers board have now rejected a £20mil takeover bid from Robert Sarver.

The Board were desperate to accept the bid from Sarver (Ashley's stooge). However, they know they will not get the 75% shareholder backing required at an EGM to get the deal through. The Board are no longer in control of the club, having allowed their shareholding to be diluted through the sale of shares to King, Taylor, Letham and Park. At present no group would gain 75% shareholder approval for anything therefore the club are adrift and rudderless.

The latest in the long-running farce is that Mike Ashley is offering Rangers a £10 million load with Ibrox and Murray Park as security

The Three Bears are said to be willing to double their £5 million loan without such security.

For the big match tonight, Rangers v Hearts, fans are being asked to protest outside the ground and then boycott the match.

A wise decision as the match was abandoned after 25 minutes due to snow.
