Re: [Dr Love] Income from Gate Receipts or Reply Privately

At Tranmere, gate income is probably less than half of turnover.

In our one season in League 2 before relegation (14/15), turnover was 2.9m, split 1.8m football income and 1.1m commercial income. The corresponding figures for the first season in the Conference (15/16) were 1.3m and 1.1m.

The reduction is largely due to the loss of our share of the Football League's central funding (0.4m), which I assume was included in football income.

We'll also be taking an extra hit of 0.5m in the accounts for last season because of the loss of the one year parachute payment and loss of central funding for the Academy. Again, I assume those figures are included in football income.

Stripping all this out, and given our attendances have been fairly consistent between League 2 and the Conference, I guess core gate receipts are around 800k compared with commercial income of just over 1m.
