Traffic Traffic and More Traffic!!
Site traffic to the NLM Site continues to grow as the stats for November show an average of over 700 more unique visitors per day on the site than the same month last year! There were 152,416 unique visitors to NLM last month, an average of 5,081 per day and they loaded 932,616 pages or 31,087 each and every day. To the 700 new visitors here today: Welcome and enjoy the site! Steve
2012/13 Update in Place
The long awaited update that allows league statistics on the site to move on from the opening season is now in place. A few niggles to be resolved but in general all is well. With most leagues already having kicked off this update is around six weeks late so it will take a little time to form the correct constitutions for the 2012/13 season so that editors can start inputting data but we'll catch up as quickly as we can. Once again, if you would like to become a NLM Editor then no technical knowledge is needed and there is nothing to download. Editors are particularly needed for Step 7+ leagues, Welsh and Irish (and for the three Conference divisions oddly enough!) but all are welcome. Just click on the big red button on any league page for details. Thanks.... Steve
NLM Main Site 2012/13 Site Update
The site software developers FDC based in Leicestshire have not been able to deliver the software upgrade that is needed to move the NLM site onto the 2012/13 season so far despite having promised this for the start of June. I continue to press and hopefully this will be completed very shortly. No, I'm not happy with FDC either!
NLM partners with StanJames.com
NLM has agreed a partnership with StanJames.com which will see the online bookmaker commit to site advertising aswell as offering a generous commission on new account signups. New signups MUST use the Promo Code NLM and you will also get a FREE £10 bet thrown in! For more information please visit the NLM/StanJames Partnership section of the forum. Thanks
Want to be a NLM Editor?????
Around four months into the life of the NLM main site and things are going well. Most leagues are being updated but we could still be doing better and for that we need more Editors! We particularly need people prepared to update English Step 7+, Welsh and Irish leagues but in no way is it limited to that... even the Conference Leagues are short of Editors. Most Leagues have mailing lists that NLM are subscribed to that can be forwarded to you for the latest results and fixtures and updating a League takes just a few minutes thanks to custom written software that is very simple to use. If you can update a League for us and help promote that League and non league football in general then please click the big red button on any results page. Many Thanks Steve Walker
NonLeagueTables.co.uk
I am pleased to be able to say that all the files from the now defunct website nonleaguetables.co.uk are on the NonLeagueMatters site. This excellent site provided final league tables from 1945 through to the 1988/89 season and can now be accessed through the 'Tables Archive' button in the top menu. Many thanks to nonleaguetables,co.uk site owner Chris for ensuring that these files remain available to the non league community..... Steve
Scheduled Site Downtime
The NLM site is being switched onto a new upgraded server. The switchover is expected to happen this evening (Mon 26 Sep) probably around 6pm. Downtime shouldn't be longer than about 15 minutes. There should be a performance increase across the site particularly for Editors who are editing multiple leagues. Steve
Site Stats August 2011
I know there are thos that are interested in this stuff so the access stats for August show that the site recorded 871,571 page loads from 135,295 unique visitors during the month of August. This averages out at 28,121 page loads and 4,364 unique visitors daily. 96% of visitors were from the UK with Denmark, USA and Ireland as the next most popular visitors in the list. An amazing 17% of visitors spend more than 1 hour on the site in the same session and despite encouraging new links, the largest number of incoming referrals by far still came from tonykempster.co.uk proving that the legacy that Tony left is still very much alive and well. Stats are provided by statcounter.com Steve
Software Fixes Applied
Database issues that were affecting access to the main site aswell as preventing Editors from logging in to update leagues have now hopefully been fixed. There are a lot of leagues that need catching up with now so I hope Editors will find access easier and new Editors are desperately needed aswell. If you want to update a league that you are interested in then click the big red button. Don't think that just because a league is up to date it doesn't need an editor, I might be doing it or someone else who is just helping out. The average attendances table is also now calculating correctly. Thanks..... Steve
