Leon Crouch (former Southampton chairman) Can't Post or Reply Privately

A minutes applause was held before Southampton's match with Bournemouth on Friday in memory of former chairman Leon Crouch, who has passed away at the age of 70. He took over at a difficult time for the club following the Rupert Lowe era, during which time they went into administration in April 2009. Mr Crouch contributed a significant amount of his own money to help keep the business running and cover the wage bills while a new buyer was sought, which eventually resulted in Markus Liebherr's takeover that summer, sparking an incredible rise back into the Premier League and as far as Europe for Saints.
